The "ultimate teammate" is coming home.

Ken Berger of CBSSports.com confirmsYahoo Sports reports that the San Antonio Spurs traded Richard Jefferson to the Golden State Warriors for guard-forward Stephen Jackson Thursday before the NBA trade deadline.  Jackson was a Spur from 2001 until the 2003 season when he signed with the Atlanta Hawks as a free agent. Tim Duncan has described the volatile Jackson as "the ultimate teammate." Jackson was just traded from the Milwaukee Bucks this week along with Andrew Bogut for Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown's expiring contract.

The Warriors will also receive a first-round pick, as they continue to stock up for a major rebuild starting this summer build around Bogut and Stephen Curry.
