As expected, according to multiple reports, the Knicks will not be matching the Raptors' three-year, $20 million offer sheet to Fields.

The assumed intention of the deal was in an effort to sign Nash, but he instead decided on the Lakers and moved there in a sign-and-trade deal. Which leaves the Raptors with Landry Fields for the next three years for $20 million. Something tells me that wasn't what general manager Bryan Colangelo had in mind with that offer sheet.

Fields, 24, averaged 8.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists for the Knicks last season. He was a second-round pick out of Stanford in the 2010 NBA Draft.
