Donald Sterling has broken his silence about his racial remarks that resulted in him being banned for life by the NBA.
"I wish I had just paid her off," Sterling told DuJour.com, referring to assistant/ex-girlfriend V. Stiviano.
Though denying it through her attorney, the assumption is that Stiviano leaked the tapes to TMZ which set the wheels in motion for Sterling's downfall.
According to the interviewer, Sterling "expressed remorse."
Sterling has yet to officially comment since the league's decision to ban and fine him $2.5 million. It was also recently revealed that he reportedly has prostate cancer.
According to a recent report, he intends to sue the NBA.
