Brigham was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A St. Paul, retroactive to April 6, with a left oblique strain, TwinsDaily.com reports.
Brigham, 32, collected a 5.26 ERA and 42:18 K:BB over 37.2 frames with the Mets last season. He'd thrown 2.2 innings and allowed one run with four strikeouts at St. Paul before the injury. He was expected to add depth at Triple-A, but it looks like he won't be an option for several weeks or more.

Twins' Jeff Brigham: Gets MiLB deal from Minnesota
Brigham signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Tuesday that includes an invitation to spring training.
Brigham, 32, collected a 5.26 ERA and 42:18 K:BB over 37.2 frames with the Mets last season. The veteran right-hander has managed a 4.76 ERA over 117.1 innings at the big-league level but has also fanned 121 batters.

Brigham was fighting for one of the final spots in the Mets' bullpen, but his 2023 campaign will instead begin in the International League. The right-hander was relatively effective in the Grapefruit League with a 3.52 ERA and 1.04 WHIP over 7.2 innings. Brigham will likely will see time with the Mets before the 2023 season comes to a conclusion.

Brigham and right-handed pitcher Elieser Hernandez were traded from the Marlins to the Mets in exchange for minor-league pitcher Franklin Sanchez on Friday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Brigham was designated for assignment by the Marlins on Tuesday and will now head to New York after the Mets acquired him via trade. Brigham picked up the save Sunday against the Pirates, allowing a run on one hit while striking out two and walking one over one inning.
Brigham had his contract selected Sunday and saw his first action of the year later that day, a 10th inning relief appearance with the Marlins up 6-4. He allowed an unearned run to cross the plate, but was able to hang on for his first career save. Six Marlins relievers now have saves this season with Tanner Scott leading the pack at 12. Fantasy managers will have to pay close attention to see if Brigham shakes up the back end of Miami's bullpen.

Marlins' Jeff Brigham: Healthy after two lost seasons
Brigham made a 20-pitch appearance Thursday in a game against Nationals farmhands during the Marlins' minor-league camp, Joe Frisaro of ManOnSecondBaseball.com reports.
Frisaro notes that the outing was Brigham's first game action of any kind since July 26, 2020, when he made a one-inning appearance with the Marlins during the pandemic-shortened campaign. Since then, Brigham had been shut down with a nerve issue in his right biceps that prevented him from pitching at any level in 2021. Miami outrighted Brigham off its 40-man roster in October, but he rejoined the organization on a minor-league deal this winter and looks set to open the campaign with Triple-A Jacksonville.
