Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Picks up third steal
Wilson went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Giants.
Wilson had a two-homer game Tuesday versus the Dodgers, but he followed that up with an 0-for-14 slump over the next four games. He shook off that dry spell with a multi-hit effort Sunday, and he also picked up his third steal of the season, though the 23-year-old continues to be more a contact hitter than a speedster. He's up to a .337/.369/.478 slash line with five home runs, 26 RBI, 25 runs scored and 10 doubles across 45 contests in 2025.

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Mashes two homers
Wilson went 4-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday's 11-1 win over the Dodgers.
Wilson led the way in the Athletics' five-homer attack that stunned the Dodgers. The shortstop saw a seven-game hitting streak snapped Sunday versus the Yankees, but this was his sixth multi-hit effort in his last nine contests. Wilson also went yard for the first time since April 25 versus the White Sox. He's been superb so far, batting .363 with a .902 OPS, five homers, 26 RBI, 24 runs scored and two stolen bases over 40 contests in 2025. Wilson's hot hitting has earned him the leadoff spot over the last five games, including three times against right-handed pitchers.

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Four more hits Wednesday
Wilson went 4-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Mariners.
Wilson has been on a tear at the plate, recording multiple hits in four of his last five games -- he's gone 12-for-21 (.571) with a 1.275 OPS in that span. The rookie shortstop has boosted his slash line to .357/.383/.476 across 150 plate appearances this season with three homers, 21 RBI, 20 runs scored and a stolen base.

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Continues tear with clutch hits
Wilson went 3-for-6 with three RBI in Monday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Mariners.
This was Wilson's fifth multi-hit effort over his last six games. Not only did his bat stay hot, but he got his knocks at the right time -- he delivered a game-tying hit in the 10th inning before walking it off one frame later. He's already logged 13 multi-hit games in 2025, including four three-hit performances, compared to just five hitless games. The infield prospect is batting .341 with an .816 OPS, three home runs, 20 RBI, 19 runs scored, one stolen base and six doubles through 34 contests.

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Not in lineup Tuesday
Wilson is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers.
It's a routine day off for Wilson, as Max Schuemann will bat ninth and play shortstop. Wilson is batting .321/.333/.459 with three home runs, 14 RBI, 16 runs scored and just six strikeouts across 112 plate appearances this season.

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Pops third homer
Wilson went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 6-5 win over the White Sox.
The rookie shortstop got hold of a Sean Burke slider on the inner part of the plate to lead off the fifth inning with a solo shot. It was Wilson's third homer in 25 games to begin the season, an impressive showing considering he managed only seven home runs in 103 games across all levels in 2024. His ability to make contact is still the driving factor for his fantasy value, however -- Wilson is slashing .347/.354/.500 through 99 plate appearances with one steal, 14 RBI and 15 runs.

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Not in Wednesday's lineup
Wilson is not in the Athletics' starting lineup against the White Sox on Wednesday.
Wilson has started the 2025 season strongly, slashing .333/.333/.485 with 11 runs scored, two home runs and eight RBI in 66 plate appearances while starting in every single game. It appears he's just getting the day off Wednesday, with Max Muncy shifting to shortstop and Luis Urias receiving the start at second base against White Sox right-hander Jonathan Cannon.

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Hitting streak up to eight
Wilson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run while collecting two more RBI and scoring another run in Friday's 6-3 win over Colorado.
Wilson's solo shot in the fourth inning officially brought his hitting streak to eight games, and a two-RBI single in the 11th gave him his second consecutive multi-hit effort while also securing the win for the A's. The 23-year-old is now slashing .379/.379/.621 on the year and currently boasts one of the hottest bats in baseball.

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Moves up to six spot
Wilson is starting at shortstop and batting sixth in Wednesday's game against the Cubs.
Wilson has batted ninth in five of seven games for the Athletics this season, but this is now the second time he's been up in the six spot. The 23-year-old is 6-for-20 with one home run and two RBI in his first six contests this season and would receive a minor boost in fantasy if he starts hitting higher in the batting order regularly.

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Slugs first career homer
Wilson went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in an 18-3 loss to the Cubs on Monday.
Wilson put the Athletics on the board in the third inning with a solo shot to left field. He added another RBI on a groundout in the fourth in what was then a 5-3 game, but Chicago went on to score the final 13 runs to turn the contest into a rout. Wilson isn't known for his power, and Monday's long ball was the first of his major-league career after he failed to go deep over 103 plate appearances as a rookie last season.

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Singles in season opener
Wilson went 1-for-3 in Thursday's loss to the Mariners. He started at shortstop and hit ninth in the batting order.
Wilson won the starting shortstop job this spring and should be in the lineup nearly every day. The No. 6 overall pick in 2023 has a strong eye at the plate (9.7 percent strikeout rate and 8.0 percent walk rate in his first taste of the majors last year), and that should result in a good batting average despite meager power.

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Looks set for starting job
Wilson is hitting .194 (6-for-31) with two home runs in 10 games this spring and appears set as the A's starting shortstop, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
The No. 6 overall pick in 2023, Wilson has only needed around 25 games at each of the three highest levels of the minors en route to his big-league debut just after the All-Star break. He quickly suffered a hamstring strain that kept him out until late-August and played just 28 games. Still, he showed enough in the majors that the A's are set to give him everyday duty at shortstop. He has a strong eye at the plate (9.7 K% and 8.0 BB%) that should result in a good batting average despite meager power.

Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Contributes game-winning hit
Wilson went 1-for-3 with a walk-off RBI single and a walk in a win over the Rangers on Tuesday.
The rookie drove home Zack Gelof with one out in the ninth inning to snap a 4-4 tie and send the Athletics home winners in their penultimate night game at Oakland Coliseum. Wilson now has singles in three straight games, but he's shown very little pop since his late-August return from a long IL stint with just four extra-base hits across 86 plate appearances.
