  • Mets' Kolton Ingram: Sent to Triple-A

The Mets optioned Ingram to Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports. Ingram was one of 10 Mets players dispatched to minor-league camp in the first round of spring training cuts. The 27-year-old lefty reliever was claimed off waivers from the Tigers in February and retains a spot on the 40-man roster, so he could be a candidate to join the Mets' bullpen at some point in 2024.

Ingram was designated for assignment by the Angels on Monday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports. Ingram is giving up his spot on the Halos' 40-man roster for Aaron Hicks, who was signed Monday. The 27-year-old reliever posted an 8.44 ERA in 5.1 innings for the Angels in 2023, but he struck out seven after fanning 77 batters over 61 frames between Double-A Rocket City and Triple-A Salt Lake. • Angels' Kolton Ingram: Recalled from Double-A

The Angels recalled Ingram from Double-A Rocket City on Thursday. Ingram has fared well in Double-A this season, putting up a 2.63 ERA and 1.33 WHIP through 27.1 frames and has two saves on the season. However, he's yet to play beyond the Double-A level, so the Angels will likely use him out of the bullpen sparingly early on. He'll replace Jimmy Herget on the roster, who was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move.
