The Tigers outrighted Calvo to Triple-A Toledo on Sunday. After being acquired from the Rockies on June 18, Calvo never made any appearances at the big-league level for Detroit before being moved off the 40-man roster. Calvo will continue to pitch in relief at Toledo, with whom he's compiled an 8.88 ERA, 2.23 WHIP and 30:26 K:BB over 25.1 innings.... See More ... See Less

Calvo was traded from the Rockies to the Tigers on Sunday in exchange for cash considerations. Calvo was designated for assignment by Colorado on Thursday but will join Detroit's 40-man roster a few days later. We signed him because he's really talented."

Evan Woodbery@evanwoodbery18H agoThe Tigers not only made the Kenta Maeda deal official on Tuesday, they publicly confirmed his salary. To my knowledge, the Braves are the only MLB organization currently doing this. If this is a trend, it's a good one.
