Matt Gelb@MattGelb5H agoIt is not a Phillies win in 2025 without feeling exhausted by the whole thing. It might be wise to rank better than 28th in converting batted balls into outs. “We have to clean it up. We really do.” Dumb story from a dumb game: https://t.co/6Cx9WJoOwP

Scott Lauber@ScottLauber14H agohttps://t.co/W0KZr3Qtjk Tuesday night's wild, walkoff win was more difficult than it had to be because the #Phillies gave away too many outs. It's been a recurring theme, too. "Lately it feels like we’re making those little mistakes." From @PhillyInquirer ⬇️⬇️

Matt Gelb@MattGelb16H agoPhillies and Nationals entered today with 29th- and 30th-ranked bullpen ERAs in baseball. They combined to play the dumbest game of the season so far. It ends on a walk-off wild pitch.

Matt Gelb@MattGelb21H agoAndrew Painter’s next minor-league start is Thursday. He is remaining with Low-A Clearwater and will pitch four innings. Phillies could move him north in May to a higher-level affiliate.

Scott Lauber@ScottLauber3D agoRanger Suárez today for triple-A Lehigh Valley: 4.2 IP, 4 H, 1 R/ER, 2 BB, 8 K. 74 pitches. The #Phillies have said they want to get him to 90 or so pitches before he returns to the rotation, so likely one more minor league start.
