Giants' Patrick Bailey: Back from concussion IL
Bailey was activated from the 7-day concussion injured list Wednesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
With his concussion symptoms subsided, Bailey has rejoined the Giants following a minimum absence and will do his best to aid the club in its quest for a playoff spot. Joey Bart was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move.

Bailey suffered the concussion during Tuesday's loss to the Cubs when he was involved in a collision at the plate with Jeimer Candelario. He will be eligible to return next week, but as is the case anytime a concussion is involved, it's difficult to project when Bailey might be ready. Blake Sabol and Joey Bart will handle the catching duties for the Giants while Bailey is sidelined.

Giants' Patrick Bailey: May have concussion
Manager Gabe Kapler said Bailey might have a concussion after colliding with Jeimer Candelario during Tuesday's game against the Cubs, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Bailey was reportedly feeling lightheaded after Candelario slid into him during the seventh inning. If Bailey does indeed have a concussion, he will be forced to miss at least seven days, and Blake Sabol will be next in line to start behind the plate for San Francisco. For now, Bailey should be considered day-to-day.

Bailey's hit safely in four straight games, and he has an extra-base hit in each of his last three contests. The catcher is batting .268 (19-for-71) in August, but he's hit just two homers over 23 games this month. The rookie is at a .260/.311/.411 slash line, seven long balls, 45 RBI, 25 runs scored and a stolen base through 78 contests overall while providing strong defense behind the plate.

Giants' Patrick Bailey: Supplies walk-off home run
Bailey went 2-for-5 with a walk-off two-run homer in Sunday's extra-inning win over the Rangers.
The Giants were down to their final out after they had been winning all game before allowing the Rangers to push it to an extra inning. Bailey timed up an inside fastball from Will Smith perfectly and sent a laser to left field that just cleared the wall. It was his first home run since June 30, and he's now posted nine hits over his last 21 at-bats. Bailey had a rough month of July but has certainly turned things around this month and is now slashing .323/.447/.452 with seven RBI, four runs and a 7:7 BB:K through 38 plate appearances in August.

Bailey went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, three RBI and a run scored in Monday's 8-3 win over the Angels.
Bailey opened the scoring with an RBI single in the fourth inning and added a two-run double in the ninth to put the Giants ahead for good. This was his fourth multi-hit effort in his last seven games, a span in which he's gone 7-for-21 (.333). The rookie catcher continues to impress defensively while holding his own with a .262/.307/.414 slash line, five home runs, 35 RBI, 19 runs scored, 15 doubles and a stolen base through 61 contests this season.
