  • Padres' Mason Miller: Secures eighth save

Miller picked up the save Sunday against the Angels. He allowed no hits or walks while striking out two over a perfect inning.

Miller made quick work of the Angels, retiring the side on 13 pitches to secure a series win for the Padres. Sunday marked the right-hander's second save in as many days and his eighth of the season, giving him sole possession of the MLB lead. The 27-year-old flamethrower has been virtually unhittable in 2026, posting a 0.00 ERA and 0.35 WHIP with a 27:2 K:BB across 11.1 innings, extending a scoreless streak which dates back to last season to 32.2 innings.

  • Reds' Emilio Pagan: Earns save against Minnesota

Pagan (hamstring) collected his sixth save of the season Friday in the Reds' 2-1 win over the Twins, striking out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning.

Pagan injured his hamstring in his last outing against the Giants on Tuesday, but he was cleared to come out of the bullpen Friday to protect the Reds' one-run lead in the ninth. He needed just 13 pitches (eight strikes) to get through the frame for his sixth save of the season, which is tied with Mason Miller and Paul Sewald for most in the National League. It was a good sign to see Pagan back on the mound, but his usage over the weekend will be worth monitoring.

  • Padres' Mason Miller: Continues to roll with save No. 7

Miller picked up the save Saturday against the Angels, allowing one hit and one walk in a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out two.

The hard-throwing right-hander has been nearly untouchable this season, though the Angels did put up a fight Saturday. Los Angeles brought the potential tying run to the plate, but Miller got Adam Frazier to ground out to close it out. Miller's scoreless streak is now up to 31.2 consecutive innings, dating back to 2025, and he's also gone 7-for-7 on save chances to go with a 25:2 K:BB over his first 10.1 frames of 2026.

  • Padres' Mason Miller: Secures sixth save Thursday

Miller pitched a scoreless inning and struck out the side Thursday against the Mariners to earn his sixth save of the season.

Miller has yet to allow a run this season, and dating back to the 2025 campaign, he's now thrown 30.2 consecutive scoreless innings, sitting three shy of Cia Meredith's franchise record. The right-hander's allowed just one hit in 9.1 innings in 2026 and has struck out 10 of the last 12 batters he's faced. Miller's last blown save came Aug. 5 of last season, when he worked the eighth inning in front of Robert Suarez. His last blown ninth-inning chance came on June 19, while he was still with the A's.

  • Padres' Mason Miller: Records fifth save

Miller struck out one batter over a perfect inning to notch a save against the Mariners on Tuesday.

It was a relatively stress-free save for Miller, who entered in the ninth inning with a three-run cushion. Regardless, the flamethrowing righty continued to dominate, retiring the side in order on 15 pitches. Miller is a perfect 5-for-5 in save chances on the campaign and has compiled 29.2 consecutive regular-season scoreless innings dating back to last year. He's been nearly impossible to make contact against this season, allowing just one base knock while posting a 20:1 K:BB through 8.1 frames.

The right-hander needed just 12 pitches to set down the Red Sox in Sunday's win after throwing 11 pitches Saturday. Miller is up to four saves, tied for the league lead in the early going. • Padres' Mason Miller: Picks up third save Saturday

Miller picked up the save in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Red Sox, recording three strikeouts in a hitless and scoreless ninth inning.

Miller needed just 11 pitches to blow the Red Sox away in the bottom of the ninth inning, generating four whiffs. The right-hander now has three saves in three appearances this season and has yet to allow a run with an 8:1 K:BB across 3.1 innings. Miller remains in the top tier of fantasy closers.

  • Padres' Mason Miller: Logs four-out save

Miller allowed a hit and struck out three without walking a batter over 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the save in Wednesday's 7-1 win over the Giants.

Miller entered the game with one on and two outs in the eighth inning and shut things down. The Padres proceeded to add four runs in their half of the eighth to give Miller plenty of cushion. This was his second save of the season, and he's added a 5:1 K:BB over 2.1 scoreless innings so far. He is firmly locked into the closer role, and Wednesday's outing shows manager Craig Stammen won't hesitate to ask him to cover more than one frame, if necessary.

  • Padres' Mason Miller: Secures first save

Miller earned a save against the Tigers on Saturday, striking out two batters and walking one over a scoreless and hitless inning.

Miller inherited a 3-0 lead in the ninth inning, though he may have felt a bit more pressure than usual under such circumstances with San Diego chasing its first victory of the season. The right-hander issued a two-out walk, but he otherwise looked dominant, throwing 12 of 18 pitches for strikes and recording two punchouts. Miller posted a combined 50 saves and averaged a robust 14.8 K/9 over the past two regular seasons, so it's no surprise that he's considered one of baseball's (and fantasy's) top closers.
