Atlanta transferred Perdomo (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Saturday. Perdomo was placed on Atlanta's 15-day IL at the beginning of the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery last fall. He wasn't expected to pitch in 2024, and his move to the 60-day IL is procedural to allow Atlanta to select right-hander Jackson Stephens to the active roster.... See More ... See Less

Braves' Angel Perdomo: Goes on 15-day IL
Atlanta placed Perdomo (elbow) on the 15-day injured list Thursday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Perdomo is recovering from the Tommy John surgery he underwent last fall and is likely to eventually be shifted to the 60-day IL when Atlanta needs to open up a spot on the 40-man roster. He's not expected to be ready to pitch in games until 2025.... See More ... See Less -
Braves' Angel Perdomo: Re-signs with Atlanta
Perdomo (elbow) signed a one-year, non-guaranteed split contract with Atlanta on Thursday. Perdomo was non-tendered by Atlanta last month, a few weeks after being claimed off waivers from the Pirates, but he's back now to continue his Tommy John rehab with the reigning NL East champs. The 29-year-old underwent the reconstructive elbow procedure in October, so he's doubtful to pitch at all in 2024.... See More ... See Less -
Angel Perdomo: Non-tendered by Atlanta
Perdomo (elbow) was non-tendered by Atlanta on Friday, MLB.com reports. Atlanta just claimed Perdomo earlier this month after Pittsburgh placed him on waivers. He will miss all of the 2024 season following Tommy John surgery.... See More ... See Less -
Braves' Angel Perdomo: Claimed by Atlanta
Atlanta claimed Perdomo (elbow) off waivers from the Pirates on Monday. Perdomo underwent Tommy John surgery last month and will be sidelined until 2025, but Atlanta felt he was worth the roster spot, anyway. The big left-hander held a 3.72 ERA and 33:11 K:BB across 29 innings for the Pirates in 2023.... See More ... See Less -
Pirates' Angel Perdomo: Recently had Tommy John surgery
Perdomo underwent Tommy John surgery on his left elbow Oct. 6, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. It came as a bit of a surprise when it was announced Thursday that the Pirates placed Perdomo on waivers, but now we know why the move was made. He'll be out until 2025 and should also clear waivers, at which point he can be outrighted.... See More ... See Less -
Pirates' Angel Perdomo: Suspension reduced
Perdomo's suspension was reduced to two games after a settlement was reached between the MLBPA and MLB, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Perdomo was initially suspended for three games after intentionally throwing at Manny Machado on Tuesday, but he's now set to make an early return. The 29-year-old lefty has a 3.92 ERA and 0.97 WHIP through 20.2 innings this season and has recorded two holds in 21 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Pirates' Angel Perdomo: Gets minor-league contract
Perdomo signed a minor-league contract with the Pirates on Thursday. The big lefty received an invitation to spring training. Perdomo holds an ugly 8.24 ERA over 22 appearances at the major-league level.... See More ... See Less -
Rays' Angel Perdomo: Designated for assignment
Perdomo was designated for assignment Saturday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports. Perdomo was claimed off waivers by the Rays on July 19, but he'll lose his spot on the 40-man roster after Tampa Bay acquired David Peralta from the Diamondbacks on Saturday. Perdomo has struck out 13 in 5.1 scoreless innings over six Triple-A appearances this year and will likely remain in the organization if he goes unclaimed on waivers.... See More ... See Less -
Rays' Angel Perdomo: Claimed by Rays
The Rays claimed Perdomo (hand) off waivers from the Brewers on Tuesday. Perdomo has been rehabbing from a hand injury and began an assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League a week ago. The lefty will report to Triple-A Durham and looks like he'll be active right away for the affiliate when the minor-league All-Star break ends. Since he'll get a spot on the Rays' 40-man roster, Perdomo should have the opportunity to make his first MLB appearance of 2022 at some point over the next two months.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Angel Perdomo: Healthy at Triple-A
Perdomo (back) has made two appearances this season for Triple-A Nashville, tossing 1.2 scoreless innings and allowing no hits and three walks while striking out four. Perdomo finished the 2021 season on the Brewers' 60-day injured list due to a back strain, but he's received a clean bill of health ahead of the 2022 campaign. Despite not winning a spot in Milwaukee's Opening Day bullpen, Perdomo retains a spot on the 40-man roster, so he'll be a candidate for a promotion if the Brewers should require an extra bullpen arm at any point.... Brewers' Angel Perdomo: Sent to Triple-A
The Brewers optioned Perdomo (back) to Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday. Perdomo was one of five 40-man roster players that the Brewers demoted to Triple-A in the team's latest round of cuts from big-league camp. The right-hander didn't see any action for either the Brewers or in the minors after early August of last season while he contended with a strained back, and he's gone unused thus far during the Cactus League slate. With that in mind, it's unclear where Perdomo stands on the health front as the start of the minor-league season approaches.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Angel Perdomo: Moves to 60-day IL
Perdomo (back) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Wednesday. Perdomo first landed on the shelf with the back strain Aug. 11, so he won't be eligible for activation until the playoffs. However, it's unclear when exactly the left-hander is supposed to be healthy.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Angel Perdomo: Placed on injured list
Perdomo was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a strain in his lower back. The left-hander pitched during Tuesday's doubleheader and struggled, giving up a run on a hit and three walks while recording two strikeouts in two-thirds of an inning. The severity of the injury is unknown, and Perdomo will be eligible to return Aug. 21.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Angel Perdomo: Recalled from Triple-A
Perdomo was recalled from Triple-A Nashville prior to Tuesday's game against the Pirates, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports. John Axford is headed to the injured list, so Perdomo will take his place in a low-leverage relief role. He has given up 11 earned runs (four home runs) in 15.1 MLB innings this season.... Brewers' Angel Perdomo: Returns to minors
Perdomo was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports. Perdomo appeared in three games after being called up July 17, allowing one run and striking out six in 2.2 innings of work. His 6.46 ERA in 2021 doesn't exactly merit a return to the Brewers, but injuries in the bullpen could certainly give him another opportunity before the season ends. Devin Williams (elbow) was activated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move Tuesday.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Angel Perdomo: Back in big leagues
Perdomo was recalled from Triple-A Nashville prior to Saturday's game against Cincinnati. With Devin Williams landing on the 10-day injured list with right elbow discomfort, a spot opened up on the 26-man roster for Perdomo to rejoin the Brewers' bullpen. Perdomo spent over a month and a half in the majors in the early portion of the season, but was placed on the injured list in late May with a back strain, and was later optioned to Triple-A when he was activated. The left-hander will resume his big-league campaign with a 7.11 ERA and 19:12 K:BB.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Angel Perdomo: Makes first rehab appearance
Perdomo (back) struck out the side in his lone inning of work during Sunday's rehab outing at Triple-A Nashville. Perdomo was sharp in his first appearance at any level since May 24, but he wasn't as overpowering as his box-score line would indicate. He didn't induce a single swing and miss among his 18 pitches, as all 11 of the strikes he threw were either called strikes or fouled off. The Brewers may want to see Perdomo make another appearance or two in the minors before reinstating him from the 10-day injured list.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Angel Perdomo: Hits injured list
Perdomo has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a lower back strain. Perdomo last pitched May 24, so it's unclear when or how the injury occurred. The southpaw will head to the injured list for at least 10 days. Pitcher Alec Bettinger was recalled to take his roster spot.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Angel Perdomo: Called up by Brewers
Perdomo was recalled by the Brewers on Monday. Perdomo made eight relief appearances for the Brewers this spring and allowed one hit and four walks while striking out 12 in 6.1 scoreless innings. He should serve as a low-leverage reliever for Milwaukee after right-hander Eric Yardley was sent down in a corresponding move.... See More ... See Less
