    Semien went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Pirates. Semien got the scoring started Wednesday with a solo shot off Johan Oviedo to lead off the first inning. The homer extended Semien's hit streak to 13 games. He's gone 20-for-61 over the course of the streak while slashing .337/.406/.551 with three homers and 17 RBI in 21 games since the start of May. Overall, Semien is batting .299 with eight home runs, 40 RBI, seven stolen bases and an .871 OPS through 229 plate appearances this season.

Semien has now homered in three straight games after he sent a towering three-run blast to left field, No. 4 overall this season. He's been in a nice groove at the plate, slashing .333/.415/.667 with 13 RBI, 12 runs and a 5:4 BB:K over his last nine games. The power wasn't as evident at this time last year as it took him 43 games to hit his first home run, but he's certainly found his power stroke and will look to keep things going.

Semien's prior career high in that category was only 15, but his power numbers took a major step backward from his massive 2021 performance with Toronto. With another six years and $150 million left on his contract with Texas, he'll get plenty of chances to try and put it all together.
