A shoulder injury kept Twins closer Matt Capps off the mound from June 23 until July 14, and now it sounds like his injury is worse than before.

Not only is Capps back on the disabled list, but he's been shut down indefinitely. General manager Terry Ryan told reporters (Rhett Bollinger) that an MRI revealed rotator cuff irritation in Capps' shoulder and there's no set timetable for a return.

Capps, 28, has closed down 14 of 15 save opportunities with a 3.81 ERA and 1.06 WHIP this season. He's on a one-year contract, so missing a huge chunk of the rest of the season could certainly cost him lots of money in free agency.
