Center fielder Austin Jackson has been activated from the disabled list, the Tigers announced Saturday.

In Jackson's absence, rookie Quintin Berry has admirably filled in, hitting .288/.356/.409 with four doubles, two triples and seven stolen bases in 16 games. Brennan Boesch, meanwhile, has continued his disappointing season in right field.

Still, the Tigers' lineup Saturday has Jackson in center, Boesch in right and Berry on the bench (mlive.com).

Jackson, 25, was off to a huge start before an abdominal injury sidelined him May 16. He is hitting .331/.414/.544 with five homers, 17 RBI, 29 runs and six stolen bases through 36 games.

The Tigers went 8-13 without Jackson.
