Orioles starter Chris Tillman will head back to Baltimore to undergo an MRI on his right elbow after leaving Sunday's start against the Yankees after just three innings, Roch Kubatko of MASN reported.

Tillman (3.26 ERA, 2.5 K/BB in 58 innings entering Sunday's start) struggled to throw strikes in his outing, mustering just 24 in 44 pitches. He said the problem is less a matter of pain and rather the arm feels "dead." Tillman added that preliminary tests with the trainers went well and called the MRI a "just in case" thing, according to Kubatko.

If Tillman is forced to miss any time, Randy Wolf would likely take his place in the rotation. Wolf entered the game following Tillman's exit and earned the win, holding the Yankees to a run on three hits over 3.1 innings, striking out one and walking one in his Orioles debut.
