Angels reliever Jason Isringhausen is likely to retire after the season, according to MLB.com’s Alden Gonzalez.

After 16 seasons in the majors, the 40-year-old Isringhausen wants to spend more time with his family. He said that there’s a 70 percent chance he’ll retire at the end of the year, but admitted that could be higher once he actually gets home.

While Isringhausen hasn’t been used as much this season, he’s had a solid career. He’s one of 15 players to have 300 saves and 50 wins. In 45 2/3 innings this season, Isringhausen has a 4.14 ERA and a 4.99 FIP.
