The megadeal between the Dodgers and Red Sox on Friday was about money, as most deals are. The Dodgers have it and the Red Sox didn't like what they were spending it on. In large part that's why, as CBSSports.com Insider Jon Heyman reports, the Red Sox are sending just $12 million or so to the Dodgers as part of the trade.

OF Carl Crawford -- 2013: $20 million; 2014: $20.25 million; 2015: $20.5 million; 2016: $20.75 million, 2017: $21 million
RHP Josh Beckett -- 2013: $15.75 million; 2014: $15.75 million
INF Nick Punto -- 2013: $1.5 million
1B James Loney -- free agent after the season
*RHP Rubby De La Rosa -- arbitration eligible after 2014 season, free agent after 2017 season
IF Ivan De Jesus -- arbitration eligible after 2014 season, free agent after 2017 season
1B/OF Jerry Sands -- pre-arbitration
RHP Allen Webster -- pre-arbitration
* De La Rosa is technically a player to be named since he didn't clear waivers, but he is reportedly that player to be named.
