The Mariners have been getting calls about reliever Tom Wilhelmsen, according to ESPN's Jason Churchill.

The 28-year-old has been a strong member of the Mariners bullpen this season. In 42 innings, Wilhelmsen has compiled 51 strikeouts and a 2.57 ERA.

Since becoming the closer in early June, Wilhelmsen has converted all six of his save chances.

If the team elects to deal Wilhelmsen soon, it might give them a chance to boost Brandon League's value by moving him back to the closer role.

Before his demotion, it was widely speculated that League would be available at the deadline.
