Jhonatan Solano joins Nats as backup

The Nationals recalled catcher Jhonatan Solano from Triple-A Syracuse Sunday to fill the roster spot of Wilson Ramos after he was placed on the 15-day disabled list. Solano, who appeared in 12 games for Washington during his MLB debut last year, is expected to serve as the backup to Kurt Suzuki.
