KANSAS CITY -- Robinson Cano has been Public Enemy No. 1 here due to the whole Home Run Derby incident (can we go with Canogate?), so maybe Royals fans will enjoy seeing this?

After Melky Cabrera hit a home run to put the National League up 8-0 in the fourth inning, he reached out to give a five to former teammate Cano. They played together from 2005-2009 for the Yankees. Anyway, check out what happened (via Gifulmination).

Of course, Cabrera played for the Royals last year. He was roundly cheered during introductions, as the fans still love him here -- especially since they wish they hadn't traded him for Jonathan Sanchez. The guess is this action pleases Royals fans even more with Melky and annoys them even more with Cano.

"He tried to give me a high five, and I know this is the All-Star Game, but I don’t want to look bad out there," Cano said. "It was fun, and if it was a closer game I might be having fun. I didn’t want to upset my teammates. We’re playing to win -- whoever wins gets to open the World Series at their place."
