Felix Doubront to miss at least one start

Red Sox left-hander Felix Doubront will miss his next scheduled start because of concerns about his workload.

Red Sox lefty Felix Doubront will miss his next scheduled start. Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe reports that Aaron Cook will start Tuesday in Doubront's stead. Dan Duquette Jr. of NESN suggests that the decision has been made because of the 24-year-old Doubront's increasing workload. Manager Bobby Valentine said thet Doubront will be available to work out of the bullpen.

This season, Doubront has a 4.70 ERA in 122.2 innings pitched. His previous seasonal high innings was 129.1 as a minor-leaguer back in 2008. Until this season, Doubront had worked primarily as a reliever at the highest level.
