Corey Hart has made improvements with his sprained ankle but could still miss the entirety of the Brewers' weekend series against the Mets, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reported.

Hart suffered the injury running the bases in Sunday's loss against the Cardinals. The injury cost the Brewers one of their best and hottest hitters. Hart owns a .278/.340/.514 line for the season, and his second half has seen those numbers rise to .316/.377/.539.

Travis Ishikawa has started each of the three games since Hart's injury at first base and is in Friday's lineup at first as well.
