NEW YORK -- From what is, at this moment, the most important chalkboard in baseball, here are your lineups for Game 2 of the ALCS:

It is true: There is no Derek Jeter, thanks to his season-ending ankle fracture. Jayson Nix will man short in his stead, and Ichiro Suzuki will bat leadoff in his stead.

The Tigers will run out their usual lineup versus right-handers, which mostly means that Quintin Berry replaces Avisail Garcia at an outfield corner and Alex Avila takes over catching duties from Gerald Laird.

And speaking of lineups, here's what the Yankees' postseason lineup looked like the last time Derek Jeter wasn't in it:

1 - Wade Boggs, 3B
2 - Bernie Williams, CF
3 - Paul O'Neill, RF
4 - Ruben Sierra, DH
5 - Don Mattingly, 1B
6 - Dion James, LF
7 - Mike Stanley, C
8 - Tony Fernandez, SS
9 - Randy Velarde, 2B

That would be Game 5 of the 1995 ALDS

Also worth noting is that in that game, a rookie failed starter-turned middle reliever took over for David Cone in the eighth. His name was Mariano Rivera.

It's been a while, to say the least.
