Tiger Woods will attract plenty of attention when the 2023 Masters tees off at Augusta National Golf Club on Thursday. Woods has an astonishing five green jackets, and a win at the Masters 2023 would tie him with Jack Nicklaus for the most Masters victories at six. Woods also enters the 2023 Masters field as the last golfer to win the event in back-to-back years, doing so in 2001 and 2002. He last won the Masters in 2019, defeating Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Xander Schauffele by one stroke.

Woods is a long shot in the 2023 Masters odds at Caesars Sportsbook however, at 60-1. Defending champion Scottie Scheffler, aiming to be the first back-to-back winner since Woods, is the 2023 Masters favorite at 13-2, followed by Rory McIlroy (15-2), and Jon Rahm (8-1). Before locking in your 2023 Masters picks of entering any Masters DFS tournaments and cash games on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings, be sure to see the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

SportsLine's proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up over $8,400 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

McClure's model predicted Jon Rahm to finish on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. The model also included J.T. Poston in its best bets to win the 2022 John Deere Classic. That bet hit at +5500, and for the entire tournament, McClure's best bets returned almost $1,100. At the 2022 Masters, McClure's model was all over Scottie Scheffler's first career major championship victory heading into the weekend.

In addition, McClure's best bets included Collin Morikawa winning outright at the 2021 Open Championship, even though he was listed as a massive 40-1 long shot. The model was also all over Rahm's (10-1) first career major championship victory at the 2021 U.S. Open. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the weekend, but the model still projected him as the winner.

This same model has also nailed a whopping eight majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now that the 2023 Masters field is set, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.

Top 2023 Masters predictions

One major surprise the model is calling for at the 2023 Masters: Jordan Spieth, the 2015 Masters champion, struggles and fails to even crack the top 12. Last year, Spieth missed his first Masters cut in nine appearances, which include five top-three finishes. The Texan hasn't won on tour since last April's Valero Texas Open and only has three top-10 finishes in his last eight starts on the PGA Tour. He sits in 47th in the FedEx Cup rankings and is in search of more consistent play as the season moves along.

In four majors last year, Spieth's highest finish was eighth at the Open Championship, and his other two finishes after the 2022 Masters were outside the top 30. With his putting on tour this season ranking 114th, Augusta National's greens may pose significant problems for him. Despite being one of the more exciting and unpredictable players to watch each week, the model suggests that it's best to avoid him with 2023 Masters bets. See who else to fade here.

The model has also revealed where Tiger Woods will finish at the 2023 Masters. The Masters 2023 marks the second event Woods will compete in during the 2022-23 season. The 47-year-old veteran finished 47th at the Masters last year, the first time he had competed since a life-threatening car accident in 2021. Woods then withdrew from the PGA Championship and was cut from the Open Championship before shutting down for the season. Woods made his season debut at the Genesis Invitational in February, where he finished 45th after shooting 69-74-67-73.

Woods has played practice rounds at Augusta with Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas and Fred Couples as he gets ready for the Masters 2023. The model just locked in its surprising Tiger Woods Masters picks here.
