  • Senators' Tim Stutzle: Dealing with shoulder issue

Stutzle said Thursday that he dealt with a shoulder injury during the 2023-24 campaign, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports. Stutzle will need another opinion in terms of whether or not he'll require surgery. The talented center missed the last seven games of the season. Stutzle ended up with 18 goals, 70 points, 192 shots on goal and 100 hits in 75 appearances this season. He regressed from 2022-23, when he managed 39 goals and 90 points in 78 appearances.

  • Senators' Tim Stutzle: Officially out Tuesday

Stutzle (upper body) won't play Tuesday versus the Bruins. Stutzle will end up having missed the last seven games of the campaign. The 22-year-old has not been cleared for contact yet, though he joined the Senators on their last road trip. He concludes a down year with 18 goals, 70 points, 192 shots on net, 100 hits and a minus-17 rating over 75 appearances. If Stutzle heals up in time, he could still join Germany for the IIHF World Championship.

  • Senators' Tim Stutzle: Not cleared for contract

Stutzle (upper body) skated in a non-contact jersey ahead of Monday's matchup with the Rangers, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports. While it's good news that Stutzle traveled with the team for its two-game road trip, the fact that he hasn't been cleared to practice doesn't bode well for him playing versus Boston on Tuesday either. If that's the case, the 22-year-old will end the year having notched 18 goals and 52 assists in 75 games this season. If he can get to 100 percent, it's possible Stutzle could link up with Germany for the 2024 IIHF World Championship.

Stutzle (upper body) won't play Saturday against the Canadiens, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports. It'll be the fifth straight game Stutzle's missed. The 22-year-old forward has 18 goals and 70 points through 75 games this season. His next chance to suit up will come Monday against the Rangers.

  • Senators' Tim Stutzle: Still sidelined versus Bolts

Stutzle (upper body) will not play in Thursday's clash with Tampa Bay, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports. Stutzle will be out of action for his fourth consecutive contest due to his lingering upper-body issue. Offensively, the 22-year-old forward has been struggling with just one goal in his last nine outings while putting 17 shots on net -- though he has added five helpers over that stretch including four with the man advantage. Shane Pinto figures to remain as the first-line center with Stutzle on the shelf.

  • Senators' Tim Stutzle: Won't play against Cats

Stutzle (upper body) will miss Tuesday's matchup with Florida but could return against the Lightning on Thursday, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports. Stutzle will be out of action for his third consecutive contest due to his lingering upper-body issue but appears to be trending in the right direction. Prior to getting hurt, the 22-year-old center was stuck in a five-game goal drought during which he managed 12 shots, two assists and eight hits. In the meantime, Shane Pinto should continue to feature in a first-line role with Brady Tkachuk.

  • Senators' Tim Stutzle: Not playing Saturday

Stutzle (upper body) won't be in the lineup Saturday versus New Jersey, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports. Stutzle will miss his first game of the season. He had 39 goals and 51 assists in 78 games last season, but this year, he has slipped to 18 goals and 70 points through 75 contests. The Senators recalled Bokondji Imama to give them 12 healthy forwards. Look for Ridly Greig to occupy a top-six spot in the lineup due to Stutzle's absence.

Stutzle notched an even-strength goal and added two power-play assists in a 5-3 victory over Edmonton on Sunday. Stutzle has compiled four goals and eight helpers over his past 10 outings to give him 68 points through 70 contests this campaign. He only has 18 goals in 2023-24 after scoring a career-high 39 times last season, but he still has a chance to finish above a point-per-game pace for a second straight year.

  • Senators' Tim Stutzle: Helps out on power play

Stutzle notched a power-play assist, two shots on goal, two blocked shots and a minus-3 rating in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Kings. The 22-year-old has now gone eight games without a goal, earning five assists with 13 shots on net and a minus-6 rating in that span. Stutzle is at 57 points, 154 shots on net, 83 hits and a minus-10 rating through 61 outings overall. He's highly unlikely to match last year's 90-point season, but a late surge could see him challenge the point-per-game mark.

Stutzle notched two assists, one on the power play, in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Coyotes. The 22-year-old hasn't been able to match last season's 39-goal, 90-point pace, but he's still having a strong campaign with 14 goals and 56 points through 58 contests.

  • Senators' Tim Stutzle: Another two-point effort

Stutzle scored a goal, dished an assist, doled out three hits, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-2 win over the Lightning. Stutzle was involved in the Senators' first two goals. He opened the scoring at 10:45 of the first period and assisted on a Mathieu Joseph goal 2:50 later. This was Stutzle's second multi-point effort in a row following his recent four-game point drought. The 22-year-old has endured a couple of slumps this season, but he's generally been a strong scorer. He's up to 13 goals, 51 points, 139 shots on net, 63 hits and a minus-4 rating through 52 appearances.

  • Senators' Tim Stutzle: Two points in Saturday's loss

Stutzle picked up an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Chicago. The 22-year-old center snapped a brief four-game point drought with the performance, which tied his longest dry spell of the season. Stutzle has gotten on the scoresheet in only seven of the last 14 games, but five of them were multi-point efforts, and he's delivered five goals and 15 points over that span. Better luck on the power play might improve his fantasy consistency -- Saturday's helper was just his second PP point in the last 23 contests, and at least for the moment, he's lost his spot on the top unit.

  • Senators' Tim Stutzle: Lights lamp twice in Sunday's win

Stutzle scored two goals on four shots on net and added three hits and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Flyers. With the Senators down 3-1 in the second period, Stutzle got the comeback started by banging in a rebound during a scrum in front of Samuel Ersson. Stutzle then potted an empty-netter late in the third. The 2020 third overall pick is heating up, recording three multi-point performances in the last five games after going 12 straight contests without one. On the season, Stutzle has 10 goals and 43 points in 42 games.

Stutzle notched an assist in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Canucks. Stutzle closed out 2023 on a two-game slump following a six-game point streak. He was back on the scoresheet in his first outing of the new year, helping out on a Vladimir Tarasenko tally early in the third period. Stutzle has maintained a strong scoring pace with seven goals, 27 helpers, 95 shots on net, 29 hits and a plus-2 rating over 33 appearances this season. Still, he'll have a hard time getting back to the 30-goal mark as long as he continues to convert his shots at a 7.4 percent rate.

  • Senators' Tim Stutzle: Assist streak at four games

Stutzle notched a power-play assist and four shots on goal in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Avalanche. Stutzle helped out on a Josh Norris tally in the first period. This was Stutzle's fifth assist over the last four games, and three of those helpers have come with the man advantage. The German forward is up to 31 points, 85 shots on net, 27 hits and a plus-2 rating over 28 contests this season. Stutzle has no goals on his last 16 shots, but his talent level should eventually help him get back on track in that regard.

Stutzle logged a power-play assist and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Coyotes. Stutzle has racked up four assists, including two on the power play, over his last three games. The 21-year-old has gotten on the scoresheet in seven of 10 contests in December, picking up a goal and seven helpers. He's at 30 points, 81 shots on net, 27 hits and a plus-3 rating through 27 outings overall. Considering Stutzle is converting his shots at a mere 7.4 percent rate, there's still plenty of room for his offense to improve.

Stutzle logged a power-play assist, two hits and a minus-3 rating in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Golden Knights. Stutzle set up a Josh Norris tally in the first period to tie the game at 1-1. While he's scored just once over his last 10 contests, Stutzle has added six assists in that span to keep a reasonable pace. The 21-year-old is up to 29 points (six on the power play), 80 shots on net, 27 hits, 12 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 26 contests. He scored 10 power-play goals last season but has yet to find twine with the man advantage in 2023-24.
