Cine is active for Sunday's contest against the Packers, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. It'll be the first time Cine has seen the field since Week 3 as he has missed time due to a hamstring injury and has been a healthy scratch the past two weeks. He has played exclusively on special teams in his three games this season and has not recorded a stat.... See More ... See Less

Vikings' Lewis Cine: Healthy scratch for Week 6
Cine (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bears. Cine was held out of Minnesota's last two games with a hamstring injury, though he logged full practices throughout the week leading up to the Week 6 matchup. It's possible that he still has to return to game shape, but for now, it appears as if Cine has slipped down the depth chart.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Lewis Cine: Remains sidelined
Cine (hamstring) is inactive Sunday against the Chiefs. Cine will remain unable to play due to a hamstring injury. The second-year pro has had little involvement in the secondary this season, so his continued absence should have little to no impact on Minnesota's secondary in Week 5.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Lewis Cine: Warming up Saturday
Cine (undisclosed) is warming up and appears prepared to play in Saturday's preseason finale versus the Cardinals, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Cine suffered a minor, low-grade, soft-tissue injury earlier in the week at practice, but he appears to be recovered from the issue. The 26-year-old is attempting to lock up a spot on the Vikings' final 53-man roster as a backup to Camryn Bynum at free safety.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Lewis Cine: Dealing with minor injury
Cine (undisclosed) is recovering from a low-grade, soft-tissue injury, per coach Kevin O'Connell, Ben Goessling of the Star Tribune reports. O'Connell doesn't expect a long-term absence for Cine. Once healthy, Cine will try to finally stay that way for an extended period at the NFL level, as the 2022 first-round pick was limited to three appearances as a rookie by a broken leg.... Vikings' Lewis Cine: Plays first game since broken leg
Cine had three total tackles and played 40 snaps on defense in Thursday's preseason loss at Seattle. Cine showed he's fully healthy after last year's broken leg by making an impressive tackle on the defense's first play of the game. The 2022 first-round draft pick missed all but three games last year due to a broken leg. He's currently third or fourth on the safety depth chart, but he could see action in three-safety sets and could contend for a starting job later in the season.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Lewis Cine: On track for return
Head coach Kevin O'Connell said Thursday that Cine (leg) is doing very well in his recovery, and could participate in phase 3 of OTAs, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Cine suffered a fractured leg Week 4 against the Saints, which required surgery and sidelined the rookie for the remainder of the season. However, he appears to be on track to be a full participant when training camp comes, if not during OTAs.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Lewis Cine: Set for surgery Tuesday
Cine (leg) underwent a successful preparatory procedure Monday in advance of surgery Tuesday to repair his left leg after he suffered a compound fracture during Week 4, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Cine will remain in London along with a member of the Vikings' medical staff after surgery until he's able to return to Minnesota. There's no concrete timetable for the first-round rookie's return at this point, but it would not be surprising to see him shut down for the remainder of the 2022 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Lewis Cine: Will require surgery
Cine suffered a fractured left leg in Sunday's win over the Saints andwill require surgery, according to head coach Kevin O'Connell, Arif Hasan of The Athletic reports. Cine needed to be carted off the field, and he was taken to a London hospital for treatment. He will have surgery there to repair his leg, while some team professionals will stay behind with him. A timetable for his recovery has yet to be made available; however, the rookie corner won't be returning to the field anytime soon.... See More ... See Less
