  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Signs contract tender

Dortch signed his one-year exclusive rights tender with the Cardinals on Wednesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports. Dortch is coming off a 2023 season in which he recorded 24 receptions (on 41 targets) for 280 yards and two touchdowns in 16 contests for Arizona. With Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore no longer with the team, Dortch could see added opportunities during the upcoming season, though to what degree remains to be seen since the Cardinals will likely add receiver depth in the coming month via the 2024 NFL Draft.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Big opportunity ahead?

Dortch is part of a thin WR room in Arizona after the team traded Rondale Moore and lost Marquise Brown in free agency, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports. The 5-foot-7 slot man and return specialist had eight games with seven or more targets over the past two seasons, seeing passes at an unusual rate for someone that only got significant playing time when injuries forced other players out of the lineup. Dortch might get a real opportunity in 2024, though the Cardinals still have time to strengthen their WR group, particularly via the NFL Draft in April. Dortch received a qualifying tender last week as an exclusive rights free agent, and he'll turn 26 this spring heading into this fourth year with the Cardinals.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Tendered by Cardinals

Arizona offered Dortch a qualifying tender of $1.13 million for the 2024 season Thursday, Jason Fitzgerald of Over the Cap reports. Dortch, an exclusive rights free agent, has no choice but to sign the tender offered to him by the Cardinals if he wants to play in the NFL for the 2024 season. Across 16 appearances last season, Dortch mostly contributed as Arizona's top punt and kick returner, but he also contributed on offense upon Kyler Murray's midseason return from injury. In all, he secured 24 passes for 280 yards and two scores.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Serves mostly on returns in 2023

Dortch reeled in 24 of 41 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns, had one five-yard carry, recorded 17 kick returns for 360 yards and returned 29 punts for 275 yards in 16 regular-season games in 2023. Dortch was barely utilized (one target) before Week 9, but with Kyler Murray back from a torn ACL thereafter, the wide receiver was a regular option for the quarterback the rest of the way. Even though a variety of injuries stretched the receiving corps thin during that span, Dortch mustered just a 23-278-2 line on 39 targets over the final eight contests of the campaign. He's an exclusive-rights free agent this offseason, so he likely will be a member of the Cardinals in 2024 assuming they tender him a contract.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Sleeper WRs

I'm excited about Kyler Murray as my Start of the Week, and Dortch should continue to be one of Murray's go-to options in Week 18 against Seattle. I liked Dortch as a sleeper in Week 17 at Philadelphia, and he delivered seven catches for 82 yards on seven targets for 15.2 PPR points. That's now 11 games over the past two seasons with at least four targets, and he has scored at least 11.7 PPR points in nine of those outings. He should once again see a decent amount of targets against the Seahawks in Week 18, and Dortch is worth starting as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues. Eight receivers have scored at least 13 PPR points against Seattle in the past seven games.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Leads team with 82 yards

Dortch pulled in all seven of his targets for 82 yards in Sunday's 35-31 win over the Eagles. Dortch served as one of the Cardinals' top targets sans Marquise Brown (heel) in Sunday's thrilling comeback victory over the Eagles. Dortch wound up finishing with more receiving yards than any receiver from either team Sunday. The Wake Forest product has stepped up when called upon at various points of the season, averaging 4.5 receptions and 56.8 yards with two touchdowns in the four games he has been targeted five or more times. With Hollywood Brown already being placed on injured reserve, Dortch figures to serve as a top wideout for Arizona in Week 18.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Sleeper WRs

Marquise Brown (heel) was placed on injured reserve, so he will miss Week 17 at Philadelphia, and I like Dortch as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in the majority of leagues. He just had two catches for 45 yards and a touchdown on five targets in Week 16 at Chicago, and four targets is the magic number for Dortch. Going back to last year, he now has 10 games with at least four targets, and he's scored at least 11.7 PPR points in eight of those outings. This week, he's facing an Eagles defense that is No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and Dortch should see a decent amount of targets with Brown out once again.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Week 17 Waiver Priority List

Dortch had two catches for 45 yards and a touchdown on five targets in Week 16 at Chicago, and he continues to be productive every time he's just moderately involved. This week, he's facing an Eagles defense that is No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and Dortch should see a decent amount of targets if Marquise Brown (heel) remains out for the Cardinals once again.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Active in Week 16

Dortch (shoulder) is listed as active Sunday in Chicago, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. After opening Week 16 prep with back-to-back absences due to a shoulder injury, Dortch mixed into drills Friday as a limited participant. Coach Jonathan Gannon then told Johnny Venerable of GoPHNX.com that Dortch was trending in the "right direction" to play in Sunday's game, which has come to pass. With the Cardinals' top wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) inactive, Dortch will be among the options at the position for quarterback Kyler Murray along with Michael Wilson and Rondale Moore.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Listed as questionable

Dortch (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Dortch returned to practice Friday as a limited participant after missing the previous two sessions, with coach Jonathan Gannon telling reporters the wide receiver is trending in the "right direction" to suit up Sunday, per Johnny Venerable of GoPHNX.com. If so, Dortch figures to occupy a top-three role alongside Michael Wilson and Rondale Moore, as Marquise Brown (heel) has been ruled out after missing practice all week. The Cardinals and Bears are scheduled for a late-afternoon kickoff at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Returning to practice

Dortch (shoulder) will return to practice Friday and could play in Sunday's game at Chicago, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. It sounds like Dortch is headed for a 'questionable' designation on the final injury report, after missing practice Wednesday and Thursday. Marquise Brown, meanwhile, has been ruled out for Week 16 after aggravating his heel injury yet again during the Cardinals' Week 15 loss to San Francisco. If he makes it through Friday's practice without incident, Dortch could get a lot of snaps and targets in Chicago this Sunday.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Another DNP on Thursday

Dortch (shoulder) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports. Dortch has kicked off Week 16 prep with back-to-back absences due to a shoulder issue, giving him just one more opportunity to get back on the practice field this week. The Cardinals' top wide receiver Marquise Brown also has yet to mix into drills due to a lingering heel injury. In the end, Friday's practice report may clear up the statuses of one or both players ahead of Sunday's contest at Chicago.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Dealing with shoulder injury

Dortch didn't take part in Wednesday's practice due to a shoulder injury, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports. Dortch joined fellow wide receiver Marquise Brown as a non-participant due to a new health concern. The two wideouts will thus have two more chances this week to put themselves in positions to play Sunday at Chicago. At the moment, Michael Wilson, Rondale Moore and Zach Pascal are the healthy receivers for the Cardinals.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Snags two passes Sunday

Dortch caught two of three passes for 15 yards, had a five-yard carry and returned one punt for no yards in Sunday's 45-29 loss to the 49ers. For a fourth contest in a row, Dortch earned at least a 65 percent snap share, an increase that has been aided by injuries to Marquise Brown (heel) and Michael Wilson. Wilson returned in Week 15 from a three-game absence due to a neck injury and logged an 88-percent snap share, while Brown departed for a second straight outing. Dortch has managed just a 12-137-1 line on 23 targets during those four games, but if Brown finally requires a full absence, the former may remain a regular in the passing attack along with Wilson, Rondale Moore and Zach Pascal.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Week 13 Waiver Priority List

Keep an eye on Michael Wilson (shoulder), and if he's out again in Week 13 at Pittsburgh then Dortch could be a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues. In the past two games without Wilson, Dortch has 17 targets for nine catches, 103 yards and a touchdown, and he scored at least 11.7 PPR points in each outing. Going back to last year, this is now nine games where Dortch had at least four targets, and he scored at least 11.7 PPR points in seven of those contests. Dortch is worth adding for up to 5 percent of your FAB.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Surprisingly productive in loss

Dortch brought in six of eight targets for 76 yards in the Cardinals' 21-16 loss to the Texans on Sunday. He also returned one kickoff for 23 yards and one punt for three yards. Dortch was the surprise leader in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon for the Cardinals after coming into the game with one catch for two yards on the season. Michael Wilson's absence due to a shoulder injury helped open the door for Dortch's sudden boost in volume, and it remains to be seen if the surge in production will have any carryover into a Week 12 home matchup against the Rams if Wilson returns.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Won't play Week 8

Dortch (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Ravens, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. Dortch sustained the injury in the week leading up to Sunday's contest and was unable to practice Friday. It'll be the first game Dortch will miss this year and he'll look to work his way back for Week 9 against the Browns.
