  • Broncos' David Sills: Hanging around Denver

Sills signed a reserve/future contract with the Broncos on Monday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. Sills appeared in three games with the Broncos in 2023, failing to garner a target over 16 offensive snaps and spending the majority of the rest of the season with the team's practice squad. He'll now have a shot to attempt to crack Denver's active roster ahead of the 2024 campaign.

  • David Sills: Goes back to practice squad

The Broncos reverted Sills to their practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Sills garnered his third straight practice-squad elevation ahead of Week 12's win over Cleveland, and he played on five offensive snaps without logging any stats. If Denver wants to deploy Sills for another game, the team would first need to sign him to the active roster.

  • Broncos' David Sills: Promoted to active roster

The Broncos elevated Sills from the practice squad Saturday. This is the third time Sills has been elevated to the active roster, which means the Broncos will have to sign him to the 53-man roster after Sunday's game against the Browns if the team wants him to continue playing. Sills has played 11 snaps over his two appearances without recording a single stat.

  • David Sills: Reverts to practice squad

Sills reverted to the Broncos' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. The wide receiver played on seven offensive snaps but was not targeted during Denver's win over Minnesota on Sunday night. Sills was elevated from the practice squad before the team's Week 10 game against the Bills.

  • Broncos' David Sills: Added to active roster

The Broncos elevated Sills to their active roster Saturday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. Sills joins Denver's active roster for the second consecutive game after making his 2023 debut during the team's Week 10 win over the Bills. In his one appearance this season, the 27-year-old wideout played four total snaps (all on offense) and failed to record a stat.

  • David Sills: Headed to Denver

The Broncos signed Sills to their practice squad Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports. Sills spent the past four seasons with the Giants but will now head to Denver to join its practice squad. The 27-year-old appeared in 13 games across the past two seasons, catching 13 of 23 targets for 123 yards, and could now provide depth for the Broncos as they are currently banged up at the position.

  • David Sills: Gets let go

Sills was released by the Giants on Tuesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Sills has spent the last two seasons with the team, but his time with the squad has come to an end unless he secures a spot on the practice squad. The West Virginia product had 11 receptions on 17 targets for 106 yards in nine games last season.

  • Giants' David Sills: Takes hard hit

Sills left practice early Thursday after suffering what appeared to be a back or rib injury, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports. Sills sustained the injury while landing hard on the ground on an attempted catch. However, he was able to walk off the field on his own. The soon-to-be 27-year-old appeared in nine games for the Giants last season, making 11 catches on 17 targets for 106 yards. He's expected to be fighting for a depth role in the Giants' receiving corps, which added Parris Campbell, Jeff Smith and Jamison Crowder in free agency, while also adding Jalin Hyatt in the third round of the 2023 Draft.

  • David Sills: Let loose by New York

The Giants waived Sills on Saturday, Michael Eisen of the team's official site reports. Sills played a significant role for New York early in the season, logging between 43 and 91 percent of the team's offensive snaps during each contest between Week 1 and Week 5. However, his opportunities have tailed off since then, and he was a healthy scratch six times over the past seven weeks. Sills has been with the Giants organization since 2019 but may now seek work elsewhere.

  • Giants' David Sills: Inactive again

Sills (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Lions. Sills is a healthy scratch for a second straight week after appearing in each of the team's first eight contests, totaling 11 receptions on 17 targets for 106 yards. The Giants' wideout room was banged-up to start the season, but they got Kenny Golladay back Week 10, leaving Sills buried on the depth chart.

  • Giants' David Sills: Quiet in Week 5 win

Sills caught both of his targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 27-22 victory versus the Packers in London. Sills looked like he could see ample opportunities leading into the weekend as one of three healthy wideouts for New York. Instead, Darius Slayton -- who entered Week 5 with only one catch on two targets -- emerged as the team's top receiver, hauling in six of seven targets for 79 yards. In addition, Marcus Johnson -- who was elevated from the practice squad Saturday -- logged more catches (three) and tallied more yards (35) than did Sills. The surprising final stat lines emphasize the unsettled hierarchy of a New York wide-receiver room that is best avoided in fantasy.

  • Giants' David Sills: Opportunity abounds

Sills is likely to see plenty of snaps in Sunday's game against Green Bay with all of Kenny Golladay (knee), Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) and Kadarius Toney (hamstring) ruled out for the clash in London. The Giants received good news Friday when Daniel Jones was able to log a full practice after hurting his ankle in Week 4. While the quarterback appears in line to start in London on Sunday, he'll be without many of his usual pass catchers as injuries have already decimated New York's wideout corps. Sills and Richie James -- two of the last men standing -- should see plenty of reps, and Darius Slayton could get extra run as well. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that any New York wideouts are worth pursuing in fantasy -- the Giants rank second-to-last in passing yards per game through four weeks, and running back Saquon Barkley has played a significant role in the team's air attack, tying for the team lead with 15 receptions.

  • Giants' David Sills: Sees role increase

Sills caught three of four targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 19-16 win over the Panthers. Sills enjoyed the best game of his brief career while teammate Kenny Golladay barely saw the field. In fact, Sills trailed only Richie James for the Giants' lead in receiving yards. With Golladay and Kadarius Toney hardly contributing to begin the campaign, Sills' stock is trending in the right direction ahead of Week 3's clash with the Cowboys.

  • Giants' David Sills: Tallies 56 yards in preseason debut

Sills corralled five of seven targets for 56 yards in Sunday's preseason victory versus the Bengals. Sills didn't play in New York's first exhibition game last Thursday due to an undisclosed injury, but he was back in action for the team's second contest Sunday. The 26-year-old ranked second on the squad in receiving yards and third in receptions in the win. Sills is considered a long shot for a spot on the 53-man roster, so he'll be looking to make another strong impression in the Giants' third and final preseason game against the Jets next weekend.

  • Giants' David Sills: Re-signed by Giants

The Giants re-signed Sills on Friday, John Fennelly of USA Today reports. Sills, who was an impending exclusive rights free agent, made four appearances for the Giants last season. He play 95 total offensive snaps and caught two of six targets for 17 yards.

  • Giants' David Sills: Joins active roster for Sunday

Sills was elevated to the Giants' active roster from the practice squad Saturday for Sunday's game against the Bears, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Sills had one catch for five yards while playing 15 offensive snaps last week against the Eagles, and he'll be on the 53-man roster again Sunday. He could be more involved versus Chicago since Kenny Golladay is the only regular member of New York's receiving corps that is available for Week 17.

  • David Sills: Back to practice squad

Sills reverted to the Giants' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction report. Sills played 15 of the team's 76 offensive snaps and caught his only target for five yards. He also played seven special-team snaps. If the Giants' wideout corps remains depleted, Sills may get another elevation in Week 17.

  • David Sills: Waived by Big Blue

The Giants waived Sills on Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Sills began the 2021 campaign on the Giants' practice squad, but he was signed to the active roster ahead of Sunday's contest with the Panthers. New York was without its top three wideouts (Kenny Golladay (knee), Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and Kadarius Toney (ankle), so the 25-year-old wideout played 25 offense snaps and dropped his only target.

  • Giants' David Sills: Receiving corps too crowded?

Sills (foot) is facing long odds to earn a spot on the Giants' Week 1 roster, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Sills missed all of the 2020 season due to a fractured right foot, and even with a healthy offseason, there may not be room for him on New York's 53-man squad heading into 2021. Duggan estimates that the Giants will roster six wideouts, with Kenny Golladay, Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton and John Ross already expected to account for four of those slots. Dante Pettis seems like another likely roster candidate, so the addition of one or more rookie wideouts in the 2021 NFL Draft could effectively leave Sills only in a position to compete for a role on the practice squad.

  • Giants' David Sills: Good to go

Sills was removed from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday morning, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports. Undrafted last year, Sills spent much of the season on the Giants' practice squad. He'll now have a chance to compete for a back-end roster spot.
