Reeder signed with the Rams on Thursday. Reeder has spent the majority of his career with the Rams and has occupied various roles. Most recently, he's been primarily a special teams contributor, and that's likely to remain the case in 2024.... See More ... See Less

Rams' Troy Reeder: Sitting out wild-card contest
Reeder (knee) is inactive for Sunday's wild-card game against the Lions, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports. Reeder gave himself a shot at playing Sunday after participating in Friday's practice in a limited capacity, but he did not make enough progress to suit up. He finished the regular season with 23 tackles (11 solo) over 17 games while playing on special teams and on defense in a depth linebacker role. In Reeder's absence, Jake Hummel and Olakunle Fatukasi will have more opportunities to get snaps for Sunday's game.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Troy Reeder: Chance to play in wild card
Reeder (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports. Reeder sustained a knee injury during Los Angeles' regular-season finale, but despite a week of practice that included two DNPs, he has a chance to play Sunday. If the 29-year-old can't suit up for the Rams' wild-card outing, expect Jake Hummel to see increased work as the team's top reserve inside linebacker.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Troy Reeder: Questionable to return Sunday
Reeder sustained a knee injury in Sunday's game against the 49ers and is questionable to return. Reeder had six tackles (one solo) before exiting in the first half. Jake Hummel has taken over at inside linebacker with Reeder sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Troy Reeder: Comes to terms with Minnesota
Reeder agreed to a contract with the Vikings on Wednesday, Lindsey Young and Craig Peters of the team's official site report. Reeder is coming off of the worst season of his career, logging 11 tackles (six solo) while playing almost exclusively on special teams over his 17 appearances for the Chargers. In Minnesota, the 28-year-old linebacker is expected to fill a similar depth role on defense while being a fixture on special teams during the 2023 season.... See More ... See Less -
Chargers' Troy Reeder: Signs one-year deal with Chargers
Reeder signed a one-year contract with the Chargers on Saturday, Mike Kaye of The Newark Star-Ledger reports. Reeder appeared in all 17 regular-season games (10 starts) for the Rams last season, but they opted not to tender the linebacker, which would've allowed them to match the offer he got from the Chargers. Regardless, the undrafted linebacker out of Delaware now will join the other team in Los Angeles and attempt to bolster what was a porous run defense from a year ago.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Troy Reeder: Activated from COVID-19 list
Reeder (undisclosed) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday. Reeder landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, but he'll be able to rejoin the team ahead of Tuesday's matchup against Seattle. The 27-year-old has totaled 17 tackles (seven solo) across the last three games and could see an uptick in playing time Tuesday since several other linebackers remain on the reserve/COVID-19 list.... Rams' Troy Reeder: Posts season-high tackle total
Reeder recorded 11 tackles (three solo) during Monday's 31-10 loss to San Francisco. He also led all Los Angeles linebackers in defensive snaps. The third-year linebacker has picked up an impressive 28 tackles (11 solo) through the past four games, and that includes his two-tackle showing last week. While Reeder might not be a must-start option in IDP settings, he's proving to have a respectable fantasy floor, and his playing time is on the rise. Just note, Los Angeles is on a bye this week, and Reeder might not be worth a bench stash.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Troy Reeder: Notches 11 tackles in loss
Reeder collected 11 total tackles and one pass deflection during Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Jets. An injury to Micah Kiser (knee) continues to open up opportunities to Reeder, as the Delaware standout has started each of the past four weeks after registering just one start over his first 10 appearances of 2020. When given a substantial role, Reeder has produced, reaching double-digit tackles in four of his five starting opportunities while collecting three sacks in a breakout Week 5 effort against Washington.... Rams' Troy Reeder: Puts up 10 tackles
Reeder recorded 10 tackles (six solo) and a pass breakup in Sunday's 38-28 win over the Cardinals. Reeder has played more than 26 percent of the snaps on defense on just three occasions during his second NFL season. Each time, he posted 10 or more stops. The 26-year-old linebacker will remain in the starting role for at least the Week 14 matchup against New England. Micah Kiser (knee) is eligible to return in Week 15, so Reeder could revert to a reserve role at that time.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Troy Reeder: Shows off in starting role
Reeder recorded 15 tackles (12 solo) during Sunday's 23-20 loss to San Francisco. It was a career day for the second-year linebacker, as Reeder took advantage of his starting opportunity. With Micah Kiser (knee) sidelined, look for Reeder to continue posting high tackle totals and providing reliable fantasy production. He should be rostered in the majority of IDP settings for the duration of Kiser's absence.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Troy Reeder: Finishes with 13 tackles
Reeder recorded a team-high 13 tackles (eight solo) in a 30-29 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday. The rookie linebacker saw 54 defensive snaps Thursday, a week after playing just 18. The uptick in usage is certainly an encouraging development for Reeder after he was originally viewed as a long shot to make the Rams out of camp. Los Angeles is also dealing with a plethora of injuries at the linebacker position, which has also affected Reeder's usage in the last two weeks.... See More ... See Less
