The Steelers elevated Jack to the active roster Sunday. Jack will join Pittsburgh's 53-man roster for the fourth week in a row. The 28-year-old linebacker temporarily retired ahead of the season, but he's taken on a notable role since rejoining the Steelers' practice squad in November. Jack has played at least 60 percent of defensive snaps in each of the past three games, tallying 17 tackles and one sack over that span. He figures to once again play as many, if not more, snaps than fellow inside linebackers Mykal Walker and Elandon Roberts during Monday's wild-card matchup versus Buffalo.... See More ... See Less

Steelers' Myles Jack: Back with active roster
The Steelers elevated Jack to their active roster Friday. Jack played all 49 of Pittsburgh's defensive snaps in Week 17, and the team has now decided to have the 28-year-old linebacker join its active roster for the third week in a row. The eighth-year pro figures to serve as one of the Steelers' first-team inside linebackers once again in Week 18.... See More ... See Less -
Steelers' Myles Jack: Elevated to active roster
Jack was elevated to the Steelers' active roster Saturday, Teresa Varley of the team's official website reports. Jack was called up prior to the Steelers' Week 16 win over the Bengals for his first game of the season. He ultimately played 44 snaps (72 percent) and recorded six tackles (three solo) to go along with one sack. With Elandon Roberts (pectoral) ruled out, Jack could potentially see a similar workload versus the Seahawks.... See More ... See Less -
Steelers' Myles Jack: Promoted to active roster
The Steelers elevated Jack to the active roster Friday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports. Jack joined the Steelers' practice squad Nov. 20 after being waived from the retired/reserve list by the Eagles four days prior. He played 15 games for the Steelers in 2022 and led the team with 104 tackles (61 solo). With Kwon Alexander (Achilles) and Cole Holcomb (knee) out for the rest of the year, Jack could play a prominent role in the Steelers' defense in his first game of 2023.... See More ... See Less -
Myles Jack: Returns to Pittsburgh
Jack signed with the Steelers' practice squad Monday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports. Jack underwent a physical with the team earlier Monday, intending to join the practice squad. The veteran linebacker will likely need time to prove he's ready to compete on the 53-man roster after not playing yet this season, although there's no guarantee he'll be elevated at any point.... Eagles' Myles Jack: Lands with Eagles
Jack signed a one-year contract with Philadelphia on Sunday. Jack was a cap casualty of the Steelers in March, but he had yet to find a new home. After a successful workout with the Eagles on Sunday, Jack will have an opportunity to earn a depth role, or possibly push Nakobe Dean for a starting job, in the team's linebacker corps.... Steelers' Myles Jack: Ruled out of Sunday's game
Jack won't return to Sunday's game in Baltimore due to a groin injury. Jack didn't suit up Week 15 at Carolina because of a groin issue, which limited him to just 29 percent of the defensive snaps Week 16 against the Raiders. It also impacted his practice reps during Week 17 prep, but he attempted to play through it before being ruled out in the third quarter Sunday. Jack's status thus will be worth watching as the Steelers prepare for their regular-season finale versus the Browns.... See More ... See Less -
Steelers' Myles Jack: Suits up Sunday
Jack (groin) is listed as active for Sunday night's game against the Ravens, Teresa Varley of the Steelers official site reports. Jack, who logged limited practices both Thursday and Friday, was listed as questionable for the contest, but he'll give it a go Sunday after having been limited to just 16 snaps in last week's win over the Raiders. Overall, the inside linebacker has recorded a team-high 100 tackles in 13 games to date.... See More ... See Less -
Steelers' Myles Jack: Questionable with groin issue
Jack (groin) is questionable for Sunday's game at Baltimore, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports. Jack sat out Week 15 with a groin injury and returned to action last week, though he played only 15 defensive snaps. The 27-year-old practiced in a limited fashion Thursday and Friday, so he could be back to his usual workload this weekend.... See More ... See Less -
Steelers' Myles Jack: Upgraded to questionable
Jack (groin) has been upgraded to questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Panthers. Jack logged a limited practice Friday after being a non-participant earlier in the week and subsequently earned a doubtful tag. However, he now appears to be trending in the right direction with his new questionable designation. His final status will presumably depend on how he's feeling after testing things out pregame.... Steelers' Myles Jack: Seven tackles in MNF
Jack recorded seven tackles (five solo) during Monday's 24-17 victory versus the Colts. Jack tied safety Minkah Fitzpatrick for the Steelers' second-most tackles in his second game back from a knee injury. However, the 27-year-old still logged his second-lowest share of the team's defensive snaps this season despite the absence of fellow linebacker Robert Spillane, who was ruled inactive with a back injury. Instead, Devin Bush stepped up and played every down on Pittsburgh's defense, thus finishing with a team-high eight tackles. Bush still leads the team with 88 tackles over 10 games this season, so he should continue to see a prominent role even if Spillane returns against the Falcons on Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Steelers' Myles Jack: Logs DNP on Wednesday
Jack (knee) didn't practice Wednesday. It's concerning to see Jack unable to participate due to a knee injury following the team's Week 9 bye, but the extent of the issue remains unclear. The veteran linebacker will have two more opportunities to practice before the Steelers need to make a decision on the linebacker's status for Sunday's matchup against the Saints.... See More ... Steelers' Myles Jack: Productive in victory
Jack recorded eight tackles (six solo) and a pass defense during the Steelers' 20-18 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday. Jack has now been held to single-digit tackles in three consecutive weeks, but he still ranked second on the team in the category during Sunday's narrow victory. The 27-year-old has gotten off to a hot start this year, tallying 58 tackles (34 solo) and two pass defenses over the first six games of the season.... See More ... See Less -
Steelers' Myles Jack: Leading tackler in loss
Jack tallied six tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 38-3 loss to the Bills. Jack finished with a team-high six combined tackles during the Steelers' all-around poor defensive showing Week 5. The seventh-year linebacker also leads Pittsburgh with 50 tackles this season, as he has played over 87 percent of the team's defensive snaps in all five games to date.... See More ... See Less -
Myles Jack: Let go by Jags
The Jaguars are releasing Jack, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Jack had two seasons remaining on the four-year, $57 million extension he signed in August 2019. While he didn't live up to the deal, Jack did top 100 tackles in both 2020 and 2021, and he has 82 NFL starts to his name. He's also one of the youngest players from his draft class, and thus figures to sign a third NFL contract well before his 27th birthday in September. Jack should offer at least a degree of IDP value if he's put in a three-down role.... See More ... See Less -
Jaguars' Myles Jack: Finishes 2021 with 108 tackles
Jack had five tackles (two solo) during Sunday's 26-11 win over the Colts to close the season with 108 tackles (62 solo) in 15 games. Jack appeared set for an uptick in production following the departure of Joe Schobert in August, but he saw his production dip by 10 tackles compared to 2020 despite playing in one more contest. The 26-year-old also failed to provide much playmaking with zero sacks, passes defensed, interceptions or forced fumbles despite playing an every-down role. Jack remains under contract for the next two seasons for a total of $22.25 million, but his release would bring only a combined $7.2 million dead cap penalty between the two seasons, so it's possible Jacksonville decides to move on.... Jaguars' Myles Jack: Activated off COVID-19 list
Jack (illness) was activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday. Jack tested positive for the virus and was sidelined for the Jaguars' Week 16 loss to the Jets. However, the 26-year-old linebacker is expected to return to action against the Patriots in Week 17 after clearing the league's health and safety protocols. Jack has totaled 97 tackles (56 solo) across 13 appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Jaguars' Myles Jack: Misses practice
Jack (knee) was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice. Jack did not participate in practice Wednesday after logging all 69 of the Jaguars' defensive snaps in Week 14. The team's leading tackler has missed just one game this season with an oblique issue in Week 6 but has appeared in every game since. If he is unavailable for Sunday's game versus the Texans, backup linebackers Dakota Allen, Shaquille Quarterman and Chapelle Russell could all see increased playing time similar to when Jack was out in Week 6's contest.... See More ... See Less -
Jaguars' Myles Jack: Back at practice
Jack (back) returned to practice Wednesday after missing Week 6. The 26-year-old was a limited participant and is expected to active for Sunday's matchup with the Seahawks. In five games in 2021, Jack has 36 tackles, which is the second highest on the team at linebacker.... See More ... See Less -
Jaguars' Myles Jack: Questionable to return
Jack (back) is questionable to return Sunday against Tennessee. Jack picked up the injury in the second half. His absence would represent a big blow to the Jaguars' defensive scheme. If he can't return, Chapelle Russell would be in line to see additional snaps.... See More ... See Less
