  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Not offered extension yet

The Cowboys haven't offered Prescott a contract extension, with player and team having a "mutual understanding" of the situation as he enters a contract season, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Prescott had one of his best statistical seasons in 2023, but the Cowboys may be hesitant to commit long term after yet another disappointment in the playoffs. On the other hand, Prescott is scheduled for a $55.46 million cap hit in 2024 even after restructuring with void years, and an extension would allow the Cowboys to significantly lower that number. He'll turn 31 in August, and without a significant addition in the draft, he may play 2024 behind the worst offensive line he's ever had while also working with a diminished supporting cast following the departure of Tony Pollard.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Restructures bonus in contract

Prescott restructured his contract over the weekend, Field Yates of ESPN reports. The Cowboys converted a $5 million roster bonus into a signing bonus and added two void years to free up $4 million in 2024 cap space. They can further reduce Prescott's present-year cap hit by either extending him or doing a similar restructure with the $29 million base salary for the final year of his contract. Dallas hasn't done much else through the first week of free agency, despite losing last year's starters at left tackle (Tyron Smith - Jets) and center (Tyler Biadasz - Commanders).

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Tosses four TDs in Week 18 win

Prescott completed 31 of 36 passes for 279 yards and four touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 28-10 rout of the Commanders. The Cowboys finally put together a strong performance on the road, and Prescott led the way with four red-zone TD strikes, two to CeeDee Lamb and one each to Jalen Tolbert and Brandin Cooks. In the process, Prescott became the first Dallas quarterback to ever lead the NFL in touchdown passes, tossing 36 in 17 games. The Cowboys locked up the NFC East title and the No. 2 seed in the NFC with the victory, setting Prescott up to face a ragged Packers secondary on his home turf in the wild-card round next weekend.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Contrarian DFS Play

Prescott has one last chance to make his case before the MVP voters and it just happens to come against arguably the worst pass defense in the league. Hopefully the Cowboys road woes will hold down Prescott's roster rate. I expect more people to play cheap QBs this week, so I'll pay up for Prescott in tournaments.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Improved play in last-second loss

Prescott completed 20 of 32 pass attempts for 253 yards and two touchdowns while adding 25 rushing yards on five attempts in Sunday's 22-20 loss to Miami. Prescott showed a significant improvement over last week's dismal performance against the Bills, nearly leading Dallas to victory over one of the AFC's top contenders. While the Cowboys fell short on Miami's last-second field goal, fantasy managers have to be pleased with the return to form from the star quarterback. The stiff tests continue for Prescott with a matchup against the Lions on tap this Saturday. On the bright side, the game will be played at home, where Prescott has completed 74 percent of his passes with a 20:2 TD:INT ratio in seven starts this year.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Falls flat in Buffalo

Prescott completed 21 of 34 passes for 134 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 31-10 loss to the Bills. He added four rushes for 27 yards. Prescott turned in an underwhelming performance against the Bills and had only 43 passing yards on 13 attempts at halftime. He used a garbage-time drive late in the fourth quarter to pad his yardage total, but he still averaged only 3.9 yards per attempt and was held without multiple touchdowns for the first time since Week 6. Prescott was one of the leading MVP candidates entering this game, so there's a strong chance he'll be able to put this performance behind him as he leads the Cowboys into a Week 16 matchup against the Dolphins.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Leads Cowboys to high-scoring win

Prescott completed 29 of 41 passes for 299 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Cowboys' 41-35 win over the Seahawks on Thursday night. He also rushed seven times for 23 yards and threw for a two-point conversion. Prescott and the Cowboys as a whole likely got a lot more than they bargained for from the opposing offense, which helped lead to a busy night for Dallas' star quarterback. He proved he was up to the task of pulling out a rare close game at home, connecting with CeeDee Lamb (15 yards), Brandin Cooks (seven yards) and Jake Ferguson (12 yards) for his trio of scores. The latter touchdown pass came with 4:37 remaining and was followed by a two-point conversion toss to Cooks, taking the Cowboys from a five-point deficit to three-point advantage. Prescott now has at least three touchdown passes in five of the last six contests, and he fell just short of a fifth 300-yard game in that span as well. With the hard-fought win in hand, Prescott and teammates now have extra time to prepare for a Week 14 home showdown against the Eagles on Sunday, Dec. 10 that could ultimately help decide the NFC East.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Paces Thanksgiving win

Prescott completed 22 of 32 passes for 331 yards and four touchdowns in Thursday's 45-10 rout of the Commanders. He added 10 rushing yards on his only carry. Prescott spread the ball around almost at will against an overmatched Washington defense, completing passes to 10 different receivers and blowing the game open in the fourth quarter with a 15-yard TD strike to CeeDee Lamb and a 34-yard toss to KaVontae Turpin. Prescott has been the hottest QB in the league since the Cowboys' Week 7 bye, and over the last five weeks he's posted a 17:2 TD:INT while averaging 320.4 passing yards a game with a 70.5 percent completion rate and an 8.9 YPA. He'll look to keep rolling at home in Week 13 against the Seahawks.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Passes for pair of TDs

Prescott completed 25 of 38 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 33-10 win over the Panthers. Prescott's pair of scores both came in the first half, as he found tight end Luke Schoonmaker from 18 yards before connecting with star wideout CeeDee Lamb from five. Although his streak of three-touchdown efforts was snapped at three games, Prescott still did enough to lead the Cowboys to another convincing victory. He'll now turn his attention toward Thursday's game against the Commanders in Week 12.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Four touchdowns, tops 300 yards

Prescott completed 25 of 31 passes for 304 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 43-20 win over the Rams. The Cowboys came out with an aggressive game plan, as Prescott had three touchdowns and 225 yards at halftime. His scores came from 18, 10, 22 and 25 yards away and were distributed to three different pass catchers. Prescott also completed five passes of more than 20 yards -- his highest mark of the year -- leading to his first 300-yard passing performance of the campaign. He and the Cowboys will look to continue their offensive heroics in an intra-division showdown with the Eagles in Week 9.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Bust Candidate (Lineup Decisions)

Prescott is a total wild-card. He's rarely put up good numbers and the Rams haven't let up good numbers often, so that's cause for concern. His pass protection will be in question and we might have to hope for some damage on the ground to help Prescott topple 20 Fantasy points. He's a low-end QB1 who I'd sit for Jared Goff, Kirk Cousins and Joe Burrow but start over Brock Purdy and Geno Smith.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

Prescott is coming off his best game of the season in Week 6 at the Chargers with 26.9 Fantasy points, and hopefully he's about to get hot. He's been amazing in his career after a bye, averaging 26.9 Fantasy points in six games after a break, and only once has he failed to score at least 22.9 points after a bye over that span. We'll see if he can stay successful this week against the Rams, who have allowed just two quarterbacks (Anthony Richardson and Jalen Hurts) to score more than 15.2 Fantasy points this season. But I'm hopeful Prescott's history after a bye and his recent outing against the Chargers will help him finish as a borderline No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues for Week 8.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Bounces back in Week 6 win

Prescott completed 21 of 30 passes for 272 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the Cowboys' 20-17 win over the Chargers on Monday. He also rushed seven times for 40 yards and another score. Prescott shook off the sting of a three-interception tally Week 5 against the fearsome 49ers defense to put together a season-high passing yardage total. The veteran signal-caller also posted a season-best rushing yardage tally while recording his first regular-season touchdown on the ground since Week 8 of last season on an 18-yard run in the first quarter. Prescott led a game-winning, 14-play drive late in the fourth quarter, a march that was preceded by a two-yard touchdown pass to Brandin Cooks earlier in the period. Prescott heads into the Week 7 bye with some momentum and will next face the Rams in a Week 8 home matchup on Sunday, Oct. 29.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Sleeper QBs

It will take some guts to start Prescott in one-quarterback leagues after the way he played at San Francisco in Week 5 with just 153 passing yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. And he's scored 16.4 Fantasy points or less in all but one game this season. But this is a good bounce-back spot for Prescott against the Chargers, who are No. 4 in most Fantasy points per game allowed to opposing quarterbacks at 24.4 points. Only Aiden O'Connell subbing for an injured Jimmy Garoppolo in Week 4 failed to score at least 23 Fantasy points against the Chargers this season, and Prescott should be considered a borderline No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in this matchup on Monday night.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Sit Him (Lineup Decisions)

Trusting Prescott is a tall task, even in what looks like a favorable matchup. The Cowboys might pivot to a slower approach with Tony Pollard handling the run game more than he has been over the past couple of games. That could take pressure off of Prescott, but it doesn't mean he'll unload statistically. I'd rather start Sam Howell, Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Throws three INTs in blowout loss

Prescott completed 14 of 24 pass attempts for 153 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in Sunday's 42-10 loss to the 49ers. He added one carry for two yards. San Francisco's vaunted defense gave Prescott fits all game long, sacking the quarterback three times and forcing three interceptions in Sunday's one-sided affair, although two of the picks came in the fourth quarter when Dallas was in desperation mode. Prescott was inaccurate when given time in the pocket, airmailing an open Luke Schoonmaker on a third-down pass in the first half before leading Brandin Cooks out of bounds on a deep shot later in the contest. The 30-year-old had done a good job of protecting the ball with just one turnover over his four previous starts, so its fair to write this off as a down game against a tough opponent. Prescott has yet to throw for 300 yards in any game this season, but that could change with a potential bounce-back performance against the Chargers' league-worst pass defense next Monday.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: QBs to Sit

Prescott has scored 16.4 Fantasy points or less in three of four games this season, and it's hard to trust him in one-quarterback leagues at San Francisco. While the 49ers did allow Joshua Dobbs to score 27.4 Fantasy points in Week 4, the previous three quarterbacks against San Francisco (Kenny Pickett, Matthew Stafford and Daniel Jones) combined for just 31.8 points. Granted, that's not exactly the most stellar list of opponents, but Prescott has been underwhelming this season with his production. He also has offensive line concerns with left tackle Tyron Smith (knee) and right guard Zack Martin (quad) at less than 100 percent. I would only start Prescott in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 5.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Bounces back against Patriots

Prescott completed 28 of 34 passes for 261 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 38-3 win over the Patriots. Coming off of a disappointing Week 3 performance, Prescott bounced back to carve up the New England defense with an efficient effort. His overall numbers were ultimately limited due to the blowout nature of the game and because Dallas managed two defensive touchdowns. Though it was a positive outcome for his team, Prescott now has only one multi-touchdown performance through four contests this season, and he'll face a tough 49ers defense in Week 5.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Sit Him (Lineup Decisions)

I don't mind starting Prescott IF his offensive line is healthy. However, that includes his left tackle, and Tyron Smith isn't going to play -- the interior guys might. Repeat, MIGHT. Prescott's at his best when he's protected and the Patriots will attack him if they think they can get to him easily. I have Geno Smith, Russell Wilson, Anthony Richardson and Justin Fields ranked ahead of Prescott.
