The Jets placed Brown (shoulder/hip) on injured reserve Saturday.
Brown started in both games this season but missed practice this week while dealing with shoulder and hip injuries. He'll sit out for at least the next four games and is eligible to return Week 8 against the Giants on Sunday, Oct. 29. Billy Turner is set to take over at starting left tackle in Brown's absence.
