Butler was cut by the Cardinals on Friday, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
Butler signed with Arizona at the end of July after being released by the Chargers. While he started his career with four straight seasons with at least 73 tackles, Butler's production waned last year, evidenced by his mere 43 stops. Although the 27-year-old's past numbers and relative youth should see him land elsewhere this season, he'll now be looking for his third team in a matter of months.
