49ers' Jamar Taylor: Departs with knee injury

Taylor suffered a knee injury and won't return to Sunday's game against the Rams, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Taylor has been covering the slot since being promoted from the practice squad in Week 4. This is an unfortunate loss for the 49ers' secondary, although it's slightly easier to overcome with Richard Sherman playing his first game since Week 1. Taylor's next chance to play is Week 13 against the Bills, a Monday night game.
