Watford chipped in 19 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT) and seven rebounds in 21 minutes during Monday's 96-88 win over Toronto. The Nets didn't have their best offensive performance, as evidenced by the fact they only scored 96 points, but Watford made his presence felt off the bench with his best scoring mark of the season. Watford might gain a more significant role if the Nets are eliminated from playoff contention, but for now, he should remain a bench alternative with limited fantasy upside.... See More ... See Less

Nets' Trendon Watford: Goes for 14 points off bench
Watford had 14 points (4-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT) and seven rebounds over 19 minutes during Tuesday's 108-81 loss to the Magic. Watford is not the most consistent performer and doesn't have a steady role in the rotation, but he's making a solid case for more minutes off the bench in a Nets team that doesn't have a clear direction with a few weeks left in the regular season. Watford has scored in double digits in each of his last three bench appearances in which he's logged double-digit minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Trendon Watford: Leading scorer off bench Wednesday
Watford closed Wednesday's 136-86 loss to the Celtics with 15 points (5-7 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds and one assist over 26 minutes. Watford saw extended playing for the second time in three games as the Nets saw themselves down by as many as 56 points in Wednesday's loss. He and Mikal Bridges were the only two Brooklyn players to score in double digits. Watford is averaging 6.0 points across 12.1 minutes per game this season and doesn't figure to get more playing time following the All-Star break.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Trendon Watford: Strong performance off bench
Watford closed with 15 points (5-13 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 26 minutes during Thursday's 118-95 loss to Cleveland. Watford doesn't have a big role off the bench for the Nets, but he was trusted into a more prominent workload here, and he delivered by posting one of his best scoring marks of the campaign. It was just the second time he reached the 15-point plateau, and while he might see decent minutes off the bench going forward, he doesn't contribute enough to be a valuable asset in most fantasy formats outside of extremely deep leagues.... Nets' Trendon Watford: Dishes out six dimes
Watford posted eight points (4-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds, six assists and two blocks over 22 minutes during Thursday's 124-101 loss to the Nuggets. Watford matched his second-highest minutes total of the season Thursday and put together a versatile stat line that included season-high marks in assists and blocks. He's played double-digit minutes in four consecutive appearances, averaging 7.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 17.5 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Trendon Watford: Plays 10 minutes in loss
Watford chipped in four points (2-3 FG), two rebounds and one assist across 10 minutes during Thursday's 122-115 loss to Miami. Watford has appeared in six of the Nets' last nine games. During that stretch, he's played double-digit minutes four times and has averaged 9.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 17.5 minutes per game. Those are solid per-minute stats, but his role is too inconsistent to trust in fantasy, especially since Ben Simmons (hip) may return to action soon.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Trendon Watford: Recalled from G League
Watford was recalled from the G League's Long Island Nets on Wednesday, NBA freelance journalist Billy Reinhardt reports. Watford had a brief stint in the G League, as he'll rejoin the parent club a few hours after being assigned to Long Island. He's unlikely to be a significant part of Brooklyn's rotation.... Nets' Trendon Watford: Well-rounded production off bench
Watford recorded 11 points (4-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal across 14 minutes during Wednesday's 109-105 win over the Heat. Watford wasn't part of the Nets' rotation over the first three games of the season, but he saw double-digit minutes Wednesday and contributed in multiple areas. Part of his uptick in playing time may have been due to Spencer Dinwiddie (ankle) being unavailable, and even though Watford had an encouraging performance, it seems unlikely that he'll be able to maintain consistent minutes once the team is healthier.... Nets' Trendon Watford: Solid from free-throw line in win
Watford posted 12 points (3-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 16 minutes during Thursday's 135-103 preseason win over Ra'anana. Watford led all Nets players in free throws made and attempted in Thursday's preseason victory while tallying a bench-high-tying point total against Ra'anana. Watford has had a strong preseason for Brooklyn through two games, averaging 11.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 16.5 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Trendon Watford: Joining Brooklyn
The Nets signed Watford to a standard, non-guaranteed contract Thursday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. Watford will join the Nets after spending the first two seasons of his career with the Trail Blazers. In 2022-23, he averaged 7.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 19.1 minutes across 62 appearances. Watford will likely compete for a depth role in Brooklyn's forward rotation.... See More ... Trendon Watford: Let go by Portland
Watford was waived by the Trail Blazers on Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Watford has been a productive reserve over the last two seasons in Portland, finishing with averages of at least 7.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals and 18.0 minutes per game in both campaigns. However, he's been let go to start free agency and will look for new opportunities elsewhere. The undrafted product out of LSU has started 22 of his 110 NBA appearances and figures to land at least a two-way deal this summer.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Trendon Watford: Will play Sunday
Watford (ankle) is good to go for Sunday's game against the Warriors. Watford should get another start at center with Drew Eubanks (ankle) unavailable, and he'll look to build off his 24-point performance from Saturday. Go ahead and get him active.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Trendon Watford: Probable Sunday
Watford (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against the Warriors. Watford should continue to power through the ankle issue, and with Drew Eubanks (ankle) status up in the air for Sunday's game, Watford could draw another start at center. Check back for official word on his status closer to the 3:30 p.m. ET tipoff.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Trendon Watford: Good to go Saturday
Watford (ankle) is available and starting Saturday's game against the Clippers, Law Murray of The Athletic reports. Watford has started eight of his past nine appearances but hasn't seen more than 22 minutes in any of the past four. During the past four games, he's averaged 11.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Trendon Watford: Listed as probable
Watford (ankle) is listed as probable for Saturday against the Clippers. Despite the Blazers missing so many players recently, Watford's minutes have been held in check. He still produced a quality line on Thursday versus the Spurs, scoring 16 points with six rebounds, three assists and one block in 20 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Trendon Watford: Solid production in return
Watford registered 16 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one block in 20 minutes during Thursday's 129-127 loss to the Spurs. Watford returned to the starting lineup following a one-game absence, and despite solid production, he played only 20 minutes. With the Trail Blazers essentially shutting down most of their regulars, Watford has drawn a start in each of his past nine appearances, averaging 12.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 26.4 minutes during that stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Trendon Watford: Good to go Thursday
Watford (ankle) is available for Thursday's game against the Spurs. Watford has been upgraded from questionable to available and will suit up after missing Portland's previous contest. He figures to draw another start at power forward alongside Drew Eubanks with Portland resting a litany of regulars again. Over his past nine appearances (seven starts), Watford has averaged 11.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.2 steals in 26.8 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Trendon Watford: Listed as questionable
Watford (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Spurs. Watford is in danger of missing a second straight game due to a right ankle sprain. If that's the case, Drew Eubanks (back) would likely draw the start at center, while John Butler and Jabari Walker would be candidates for increased roles off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Trendon Watford: Will be held out Tuesday
Watford (ankle) won't play Tuesday against Memphis, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports. Watford played the previous two games for Portland, but he saw limited minutes. The Blazers have been evaluating several different players at power forward of late, and the absences of Watford, Jerami Grant (quadriceps), Justise Winslow (ankle), Nassir Little (ankle) and possibly Kevin Knox (knee) could pave the way for Jabari Walker and John Butler to see extensive run Tuesday.... See More ... See Less -
Trail Blazers' Trendon Watford: Questionable Tuesday
Watford (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies. Watford has been playing through the ankle issue the past few games, which could explain why he hasn't logged major minutes despite Portland missing so many key players. We'll get official word on Watford closer to Tuesday's tip, but with him playing banged up, he's a somewhat risky target in fantasy hoops.... See More ... See Less
