Marshall (shoulder) is available for Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Lakers, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports. Marshall was questionable due to a bruised shoulder, but he is feeling good enough to play through it. As a result, the veteran will be available to provide depth at forward if called upon.... Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Questionable for Sunday
Marshall (shoulder) is questionable to face the Lakers on Sunday. Marshall is a fringe rotation player for the Pelicans these days, averaging 14.8 minutes over his last four appearances with 4.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Won't play against Golden State
Marshall (shoulder) is out for Friday's game versus the Warriors. After logging just four minutes Thursday, Marshall has been ruled out for the second leg of New Orleans' back-to-back Friday due to a left shoulder contusion. His next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with the Lakers.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Good to go Thursday
Marshall (shoulder) is available for Thursday's game against the Kings. Marshall will be returning from a two-game absence, but there's no word of any restrictions. In his last eight appearances, Marshall averaged 21.5 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Questionable for Thursday
Marshall (shoulder) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Kings. Marshall has missed the past two games for New Orleans, and that number could hit three Thursday in the first game of a back-to-back set. If he's out again, there will be more minutes available for Dyson Daniels.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Unavailable Tuesday
Marshall (shoulder) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against Portland, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports. Marshall's left shoulder contusion will sideline him Tuesday, while New Orleans' bench is at risk of being thin with Dyson Daniels (knee soreness) getting downgraded to questionable. Marshall's next opportunity to take the court comes Thursday versus Sacramento.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Considered doubtful for Tuesday
Marshall is doubtful for Tuesday's game against Portland due to a left shoulder contusion. Marshall is at risk of missing his second consecutive contest after exiting Friday's 111-109 loss to San Antonio with the injury. His expected absence Tuesday could open up some extra playing time on the second unit for Jose Alvarado and Dyson Daniels.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Questionable for Sunday
Marshall (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Suns. Marshall left Friday's loss to the Spurs early and didn't return after suffering a right shoulder injury. If he's ruled out Sunday, Larry Nance, Jordan Hawkins and Matt Ryan would be candidates for a few extra minutes off the bench versus Phoenix.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Leads bench in balanced outing
Marshall had 14 points (5-10 FG, 4-7 3Pt), eight rebounds and three assists over 24 minutes during Sunday's 114-101 victory over the Pistons. Marshall led all Pelicans bench players in scoring while hauling in a team-high-tying rebound total and finishing two boards shy of a double-double in a winning effort. Marshall, who also connected on a quartet of threes Sunday, matched his season high in threes made while posting his second game with at least 10 points and eight rebounds.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Records 19 points off bench
Marshall racked up 19 points (7-8 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 18 minutes during Friday's 103-95 victory over the 76ers. Marshall's scoring output was his highest of the campaign despite the fact that he played fewer minutes than his season average. He accomplished the feat thanks to his red-hot shooting stroke, as he drained all four of his three-point attempts and went 7-for-8 from the field overall. Marshall had scored six points or fewer in five of his previous six games coming into Friday, so there's no need to seek him out on the fantasy waiver wire for the time being.... See More ... Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Facing one-game suspension
The NBA suspended Marshall on Sunday for one game without pay for instigating and engaging in an on-court altercation during Friday's win over the Pelicans. Marshall will serve his suspension during Sunday's game against the Bulls. Marshall, Jimmy Butler and Nikola Jovic were all suspended for one game, while Jose Alvarado and Thomas Bryant drew three-game suspensions for their involvement in the incident that occurred with just 11 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Marshall's next chance to play will come Tuesday in New York, while Larry Nance and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl are candidates for increased roles off the bench in Marshall's absence.... See More ... Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Will play Saturday
Marshall (back) is available to face the Trail Blazers on Saturday. Marshall is set to return to the rotation after a two-game absence due to a back injury, and he should handle his regular playing time off the bench. He's averaging 16.9 minutes, 4.8 points and 2.2 rebounds per game over his last 10 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Iffy against Portland
Marshall (back) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Trail Blazers. Marshall is in danger of missing his third straight game Saturday due to back spasms. If Marshall is ruled out, Dyson Daniels and Herbert Jones are candidates to receive increased playing time.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Out Friday
Marshall (back) won't play in Friday's game against the Lakers, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Friday's game is the first leg of a back-to-back set, and while Marshall will be sidelined for a second straight contest, he could be back in action Saturday versus the Trail Blazers. Marshall is averaging 16.9 minutes per game off the bench over his last 10 appearances, so his absence isn't a major one while the Pelicans are otherwise at full strength.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Questionable for Friday
Marshall (back) is questionable for Friday's matchup with the Lakers. Marshall missed Wednesday's game, and his minutes were divvied up between Trey Murphy and Larry Nance. It'll be more of the same if he's out again Friday night.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Iffy with back spasms
Marshall is questionable for Wednesday against the Clippers due to lower back spasms. Marshall's absence isn't likely to have a fantasy impact since he's averaged just 5.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 18.0 minutes over his last two games. However, it would likely result in a few more minutes for players like Larry Nance and Cody Zeller, as well as starters Zion Williamson (foot) and Jonas Valanciunas, assuming Williamson can play.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Subtly effective
Marshall amassed eight points (3-6 FG, 2-6 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 15 minutes during Saturday's 141-117 loss to Milwaukee. Marshall hasn't exceeded eight points in any of New Orleans' past six games, including two scoreless outings, but the 25-year-old is a synergistic presence on both ends. Marshall connecting on a career-best 37.6 percent of 2.3 triples per game is limited volume, but it nonetheless enhances his credibility as a versatile wing.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Rejoins bench group
Marshall will come off the bench for Monday's game against Dallas. The Pelicans are getting CJ McCollum, Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson and Trey Murphy back in the mix after all four of them were held out for rest Saturday against Dallas. Marshall is likely to play a limited role off the bench Saturday with the Pelicans back at full strength.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Productive off bench
Marshall chipped in 11 points (3-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and two assists over 22 minutes during Sunday's 133-100 victory over the Kings. Marshall saw increased run off the bench Sunday with Zion Williamson (quadriceps) and Jose Alvarado (illness) sidelined, crossing the 20-minute mark for just the sixth time since the beginning of December. Now that Trey Murphy is healthy, Marshall's role could be pretty volatile going forward, assuming Williamson is day-to-day.... See More ... See Less -
Pelicans' Naji Marshall: Productive off bench
Marshall produced 14 points (4-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-7 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal across 22 minutes during Thursday's 123-104 win over Cleveland. Marshall has been an inconsistent contributor for the Pelicans recently, but he had a solid scoring mark during Thursday's matchup despite a somewhat inefficient showing from the floor. The 25-year-old's playing time has fluctuated over the past few matchups, but he's averaged 9.4 points, 3.8 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 20.0 minutes per game over his last five appearances.... Will Guillory@WillGuillory8H agoFinal: Thunder 124, Pelicans 92 Valanciunas 19 ts, 7 rebs Ingram 18 pts Jones 18 pts Pelicans get crushed to fall behind 0-2 in the series. Everything that could go wrong did in this one. Offense was bad, defense was worse. Pels gotta pick up the pieces or a sweep is on the way

Oleh Kosel 🇺🇦@OlehKosel8H agoThe Pelicans fall 124-92. No positives worth highlighting after watching team commit 8 offensive fouls (18 turnovers overall) and let go of the rope defensively in 2nd half. The Thunder lead this first round playoff series 2-0. Next two games will take place in New Orleans.
-
Jim Eichenhofer@Jim_Eichenhofer8H agoAt this point it would be more productive to just not set any screens for the rest of the game. #Pelicans TV just said New Orleans has nine offensive fouls in Game 2. Can't believe Pels have ever had more

Will Guillory@WillGuillory8H agoEnd of 3rd: Thunder 92, Pelicans 74 Valanciunas 17 pts, 7 rebs Ingram 16 pts (12 in 3rd) Jones 16 pts BI finally got going, but the Thunder only extended the lead. Pels gotta find a way to get some stops. They've had zero answers so far.

Will Guillory@WillGuillory9H agoLarry Nance came up limping after that last play. Looked like it was either his right knee or his right ankle bothering him. He's headed to the locker room. One of the last guys the Pelicans can afford to lose in this series.
-
Oleh Kosel 🇺🇦@OlehKosel9H agoLarry Nance Jr. consistently setting screens while his hands are above his head in this quarter is wild, but with the Pelicans picking up 1,632 offensive fouls earlier, what else was he supposed to do?
-
Oleh Kosel 🇺🇦@OlehKosel9H agoGotta give Brandon Ingram some credit for attacking the rim/lane hard, blocking Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's lay-in attempt and just playing with generally greater purpose out of halftime. Pelicans have trimmed 23-point deficit to 15 with 3:30 left in 3rd QTR.
