  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Dishes out four assists in return

Krejci (back) registered eight points (3-6 FG, 2-5 3Pt), four assists, one rebound and one block across 17 minutes in Monday's 132-123 win over the 76ers. Krejci took the court for the first time since Feb. 10 after missing the Hawks' previous 10 games due to a lumbar fracture. While the Hawks were likely keeping his minutes in check in his return, Krejci won't necessarily have the opportunity to see his role increase in future contests. The Hawks were without both Trae Young (quadricep) and Caris LeVert (finger) on Monday, and Krejci, Keaton Wallace (31 minutes), Terance Mann (33 minutes) and Zaccharie Risacher (31 minutes) could all have their playing time get cut down a bit once once the two injured players return to action.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Questionable for Monday

Krejci (back) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the 76ers, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Krejci has been sidelined for the Hawks' last 10 games due to a non-displaced lumbar fracture. He's progressed enough in his recovery to be given the questionable tag for Monday's game, but he'll have to at least go through pregame warmups before a determination on his status is made. Krejci was averaging 10.6 points, 3.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds over 27.2 minutes across the 20 games prior to his injury.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Back from G League

Atlanta recalled Krejci (back) from the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Tuesday. Krejci was assigned to College Park earlier Tuesday and presumably took part in practice before being recalled. The 24-year-old wing has been sidelined since Feb. 10 with a lumbar fracture, but he could be about a week away from returning to action for Atlanta.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Heads to G League for rehab

Atlanta assigned Krejci to the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Tuesday. The Hawks announced Feb. 12 that Krejci was diagnosed with a non-displaced lumbar fracture and would be re-evaluated in 3-to-4 weeks. He's presumably going to the G League to start ramping up again, so the assignment could be a sign that he'll soon be ready to start playing in games for Atlanta.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: To be re-evaluated in four weeks

The Hawks announced Wednesday that Krejci (back) will be re-evaluated in 3-to-4 weeks. After leaving Monday's game against the Magic, Krejci has been diagnosed with a non-displaced lumbar fracture and is facing an extended absence. Caris LeVert and Georges Niang are primed for expanded roles while Krejci recovers.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Ruled out for Wednesday

Krejci (back) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Knicks, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. Krejci sustained the lower back contusion on a hard fall in the fourth quarter of Monday's win over the Magic. The 24-year-old's next chance to play will come after the All-Star break against the Magic on Feb. 20. Caris LeVert and Terance Mann are candidates for an uptick in playing time with Krejci on the shelf.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Leaves with back issue

Krejci exited in the fourth quarter of Monday's game against the Magic due to an apparent back injury, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Krejci was fouled hard and landed on his back, but he managed to make his free-throw attempt before checking out of the game with 7:43 remaining in the fourth quarter to be assessed further. The 24-year-old will most likely be shut down for the remainder of the contest.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Improved performance Monday

Krejci registered 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 28 minutes during Monday's 132-130 victory over Detroit. Krejci got back on track with a well-balanced performance, a welcome sight after a modest couple of games. After playing 15 and 21 minutes in each of the past two contests, his role had become somewhat unclear. However, he ended the night with 28 minutes, more in line with what he had been playing prior to the recent downtick. The Hawks will need all hands on deck moving forward, meaning Krejci should continue to play a meaningful role.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Multiple career highs despite loss

Krejci dropped 20 points (6-13 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven assists, three steals, two rebounds and two blocks in 35 minutes during Saturday's 117-94 loss to the Raptors. In one of the best performances of his young career, the fourth-year guard logged career-best marks in points and three-pointers made while also matching his career high in steals and recording a season high in assists in the process. Krejci has been picking up steam of late, averaging 12.2 points and 3.9 assists while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 48.5 percent from deep in January. Although the Hawks have been without forwards like Jalen Johnson (shoulder), Zaccharie Risacher (adductor) and De'Andre Hunter (illness), Krejci has become a staple in their guard rotation, and his volume shouldn't take too much of a hit when they eventually return. He'll next take the court Monday against the Timberwolves.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Nails three triples in loss

Krejci racked up nine points (3-6 FG, 3-5 3Pt), one rebound and three assists across 23 minutes during Wednesday's 114-104 loss to Detroit. Krejci has seen a significant increase since being inserted into the starting lineup in his last eight outings, averaging 10.9 points, 3.6 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 27.8 minutes. Krejci has also been scorching the nets from behind the arc over that span, converting 50.0 percent of his 5.0 three-point attempts.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Checks back in

Krejci (undisclosed) has returned to Wednesday's game against Chicago. Krejci went back to the locker room with an undisclosed injury, but he's since checked back into the contest. Krejci should receive as many minutes as he can handle the rest of the way for the shorthanded Hawks.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Goes to locker room

Krejci went back to the locker room during Wednesday's game against the Bulls, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. The reason for Krejci's exit is unknown, but he'll head back to the locker room for further evaluation. The Hawks are already rather thin due to injuries, though Krejci's departure could mean more minutes for Keaton Wallace, Garrison Mathews and Daeqwon Plowden.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Scores 15 points

Krejci logged 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt), five rebounds, six assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Tuesday's 122-117 win over the Suns. Krejci recorded a season-high 15 points in the win while matching his season-best mark of six assists. He continues to trend up for the Hawks, posting averages of 12.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.0 three-pointers over his last five games, becoming an intriguing fantasy pickup at least while Jalen Johnson (shoulder) is unavailable.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Not starting Wednesday

Krejci is not in the Hawks' starting lineup against the Nuggets on Wednesday, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. With Dyson Daniels back from a two-game absence due to an illness, Krejci will revert to a reserve role Wednesday. Krejci started in the Hawks' last two games, and over that span he averaged 6.0 points, 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals over 26.5 minutes per contest.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Records three steals

Krejci supplied five points (2-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists, one block and three steals in 30 minutes during Sunday's 136-107 victory over the Raptors. Krejci made a strong impact on the defensive end, filling in admirably for Dyson Daniels who missed his second straight game with an illness. Krejci hasn't seen much action this season, playing 13.9 minutes per contest across 19 appearances with averages of 3.0 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: In first unit

Krejci is part of the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Miami, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Krejci will jump into the starting five Saturday in the wake of Dyson Daniels' (illness) absence. In his only other start this season -- Dec. 21 against Memphis -- Krejci logged seven points and three assists across 20 minutes.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Tallies seven points in spot start

Krejci registered seven points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three assists and one steal across 20 minutes during Saturday's 128-112 loss to the Grizzlies. Krejci was handed a starting spot Saturday, filling in for Trae Young who was ruled out due to a heel issue. Despite the opportunity, Krejci failed to produce anything of note, a trend that has been brewing all season. He possesses an intriguing skill set but the opportunities to play meaningful minutes are simply too few and far between at this point.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Moving to starting role

Krejci is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies. The Hawks decided to tweak their starting unit since they won't have Trae Young (heel) available, and Krejci will slot at shooting guard while Dyson Daniels plays the point. This will be Krejci's first start of the 2024-25 campaign.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Muted role continues

Krejci logged zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist over eight minutes during Wednesday's 108-100 win over the Knicks. Krejci continues to be used sparingly by the Hawks, having played in just eight of the past 13 games since returning from injury. In that time, he has scored a total of 15 points, eight of which came in a loss to Portland. Based on what we have seen to this point, Krejci is unlikely to move into a sizeable role, at least not this season.

  • Hawks' Vit Krejci: Good to go Wednesday

Krejci (thigh) isn't on the injury report for Wednesday's game versus the Warriors, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Krejci will return to action Wednesday after missing Atlanta's previous contest due to right adductor strain injury management. Krejci should compete for backup minutes in the team's backcourt against Golden State.
