The Thunder traded Maledon, along with Derrick Favors, Ty Jerome, Maurice Harkless and a 2025 second-round pick to the Rockets in exchange for David Nwaba, Sterling Brown, Trey Burke and Marquese Chriss on Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

After playing with the Thunder for his first two seasons in the league, Maledon is set to join a Houston squad that has limited depth in their backcourt. The 21-year-old averaged 8.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 22.6 minutes of action over his two seasons with Oklahoma City. Maledon figures to see minutes behind Kevin Porter and Jalen Green this upcoming season.
