Joe is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Brewers, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Joe has been the Pirates' regular first baseman of late but will begin this one on the bench. Alfonso Rivas will get the start at first base and bat seventh.
