The Mets selected Iglesias' contract from Triple-A Syracuse on Friday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
The Mets have been playing without a true backup middle infielder of late, but that will change with Iglesias being added to the roster. The 34-year-old has slashed .273/.309/.442 with seven home runs this season at Syracuse.
