Marlins' Deven Marrero: DFA'd by Miami

Marrero was designated for assignment by the Marlins on Monday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Marrero was designated for assignment in mid-August before being added back to the big-league roster Friday, and he's once again lost his spot on the 40-man roster. The 31-year-old could report to Triple-A Jacksonville if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
