Diamondbacks' Jake McCarthy: Taking seat Tuesday

McCarthy is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.

Southpaw Kyle Harrison is pitching Tuesday for San Francisco, and McCarthy will receive a well-deserved day off after a run of 24 consecutive starts, during which he posted an .862 OPS with five homers, four steals, 26 RBI and 16 runs. Jorge Barrosa is manning center field and batting ninth in the series opener.
