Aardsma signed with the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball on Monday.
Aardsma was released by the Blue Jays last season without ever appearing in a major-league game. The right-handed reliever departs Major League Baseball after nine years of service with a 4.27 ERA and 69 saves, though he could return at some point in the future.
