The Brewers placed Perkins on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain.
Between his struggles at the plate and the emergence of Sal Frelick, Perkins' playing time has declined recently. Now, he'll be put on the shelf for at least 10 days while Abraham Toro comes up from Triple-A Nashville to take his spot on the bench.
