Angels' Dustin Ackley: Expected to head to Triple-A early in season

Ackley (shoulder) is expected to be assigned to Triple-A Salt Lake shortly after the regular season begins, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Ackley has been limited by a shoulder injury throughout spring training, preventing him from doing anything more than serving as the DH. As of now, the plan is for Ackley to remain in Arizona at the team's facility when the regular season begins, and he's expected to be optioned to Salt Lake following the conclusion of the team's season-opening four-game set against the Athletics.
