Giants' Deonte Banks: Officially out
Banks (shoulder) will not play in Sunday's matchup with the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
No surprise here, as Banks was deemed doubtful prior to the game. With the Giants being out of playoff contention, this news means his season is over. In his absence, Nick McCloud and Tre Hawkins are candidates to replace him at cornerback opposite Adoree' Jackson.

Banks (shoulder) is listed as doubtful ahead of Sunday's game against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Despite a week of limited practice sessions, Banks is expected to miss his second consecutive game in Week 18 as he continues to recover from a shoulder injury. Tre Hawkins and Nick McCloud would likely see more work in the Giants' secondary if Banks doesn't suit up Sunday.

Banks (shoulder) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
Banks sat out of Sunday's loss versus the Rams, so that he practiced in any capacity Wednesday is actually an encouraging sign. Still, he will probably have to practice in full Thursday or Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.

Banks injured his shoulder in last week's 24-6 loss to the Saints and ultimately drew a questionable designation prior to Week 17. It turns out he has not been able to recover in time, so Tre Hawkins and Cor'Dale Flott are now candidates to see increased snaps in the Giants' secondary as a result.
