Falcons' Carlos Washington: Signs reserve/future deal with ATL
The Falcons signed Washington to a reserve/future contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Atlanta signed Washington as an undrafted free agent ahead of the 2023 campaign, and the Southeastern Louisiana product ended up on Falcons' practice squad after being unable to make the initial 53-man roster. However, he impressed the organization enough to land a reserve/future contract after Atlanta's season ended Sunday. Washington will thus get a chance to compete for a roster spot next season.

Carlos Washington: Joins Falcons' practice squad
Atlanta signed Washington to its practice squad Wednesday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
After cutting Washington back in late August, the Falcons have now decided to bring him back into the fold, this time on the practice squad. As long as Bijan Robinson, Tyler Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson are healthy, Washington probably won't be elevated to the active roster in the near future.

Carlos Washington: Cut by Atlanta
The Falcons waived Washington on Tuesday.
Washington signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent in May. He rushed 30 times for 69 yards and a touchdown while adding 10 catches for 70 yards in three preseason games. He'll look for opportunities elsewhere once he clears waivers.

Falcons' Carlos Washington: On roster bubble
Washington rushed 13 times for 27 yards during Friday's preseason loss to Pittsburgh.
Washington, a rookie UDFA, was less than impressive during the preseason, totaling 30 rushing attempts for 69 yards across three games. It appears veteran journeyman Godwin Igwebuike has surpassed Washington on the depth chart, so the latter may be on the roster bubble. However, Washington has flashed as a pass catcher during Atlanta's exhibitions, securing six of seven targets for 42 yards, so it's possible his versatility is enough to land him a spot on the Falcons' initial 53-man roster.
