Middle Tennessee State University police say they have a videotape that shows MTSU football player J.D. Jones choking a woman while teammates stood by and did nothing, according to a report on Monday from the Associated Press:

Ronni Cantrell, 19, of Knoxville met with university police on Friday, and they released a report Monday saying they have a copy of a videotape showing the woman pleading with defensive tackle J.D. Jones to stop choking her first with his hand, then his arm from behind.

Jones, a sophomore defensive tackle, was charged with two counts of domestic aggravated assault. His teammates, cornerback Rodney O'Neal and defensive tackle Marcus Robinson, were charged with two counts of aiding and abetting.

All three of the players were suspended by the university.
