Kansas State vs. Troy Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Kansas State vs. Troy football game
The Troy Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Kansas State Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more against one another.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you post 300 more yards than your opponent, a fact Troy proved on Saturday. Troy walked away with a 48-30 victory over S.F. Austin. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Troy had established a 21 point advantage.
Troy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but RB Kimani Vidal led the charge by rushing for 248 yards. Vidal's longest reception was for 44 yards. WR Devonte Ross did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 13 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Kansas State got themselves on the board against SE Missouri State on Saturday, but SE Missouri State never followed suit. Kansas State was the clear victor by a 45-0 margin over SE Missouri State. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Kansas State had established a 38 point advantage.
QB Will Howard looked spectacular while leading his team to the win, throwing for 297 yards and two touchdowns on 26 attempts. Howard wound up with a passer rating of 182.9. WR RJ Garcia II wasn't the only one to break the century mark, as TE Ben Sinnott racked up 100 receiving yards.
Troy will need to dig deep on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They finished last season with a stellar 11-3 record against the spread, so they might be worth a quick bet.
Even though the team is expected to lose, Troy was a solid 3-2 as the underdog last season, so don't count them out. Trojans fans who chose to bet on their team sure did well last year: betting $100 on them to win every match netted those bettors $1,781.83. On the other hand, Kansas State will play as the favorite, and the team was 8-1 as such last season.
