There's a new Newton in town, and this one accomplished something that his star older brother can't put on his resume.

Caylin Newton, quarterback for Howard and younger brother of current Carolina Panthers and former Auburn Tigers star Cam Newton, led Howard to the biggest upset in college football history (based on point spread, at least) on Saturday -- a 43-40 win over home-standing UNLV.

Newton completed 15 of his 26 passes for 140 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Rebels, but he added 190 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound freshman was recruited as an athlete in the class of 2017. His only other offers were from Hampton, Kentucky Christian, Texas Southern and Savannah State.
